Obviously you dont know football very well. A drop is a pass is a pass that was clearly catchable, a should have been caught. A coulda been caught is a pass that was not an easy pass to catch, one were you have to make a tough adjustment on teh ball but cant quite get your body in position to get a grip on teh ball. It could be caught but not necessarily should have been caught. There is a diff no matter you dont like it cause it destrys your argument. If a receiver running full speed has to stop on a dime and twist back to teh ball it isnt a drop, sorry, it is a tough catch that doesnt historically have a high completion rate. There are also varying degrees of catchability. Everything isnt balack and white like you need it to be.

A ball thrown 40+ yds down field to a receiver running full speed and a ball severely underthrown where that receiver has a nanosecond to stop on a dime and dive to catch a ball falling to teh ground like a cruise missle is not a should have been caught ball. The way you talk qll those spectacular catches should be routine catches. Trouble is what makes them spectacular is that they are catches of balls that were nowhere near catchable. The deep ball to CC was not catchable, it would have been a spectacular catch. The deep ball to Booker was batted away by teh db. Not a drop. The ball to mcMike was clearly behind him he had to stop and twist 180 degrees, not clearly should have benn caught ball.

See this is what I am talking about. Like the same cant be said about Feeley haters. As evidence by teh excuses today about why AJ's 16-20 performance actually sucked. :shakeno:

To be honest I just want AJ to get the start in Tampa, If Ferotte would have looked half way decent in his 2 starts we wouldnt be having this conversation..
I keep sayin this and ill say it again, 7 passing attempts is all Feeley was givin as a starter.
not a fair competition when you get only limit'd attempts to try and win..
 
if feeley wants the job he better start taking some chances, b/c this check-down shiznit is gonna keep him on the bench. the league average in yards/attempt is about 6 ypa. feeley didn't even average 6 yards/completion last night. from that, i take that he is playing scared and doesn't want to mess up, so if the rb is open, at least that won't get picked off. but a ypc under 6 is simply unacceptable, as is a ypa under 5. at least gus gives it a ride down the field every once and a while.

1 was returned for a TD..:D.

1 INT was droped by the defense
1 INT the DB couldnt keep his right foot inbounds

yes it is, but what does that have to do with feeley taking chances. look, if you're happy with him completing 30 passes for 150 yards every game a la last year's cleveland game and hoping we socre 10 points, that's all fine and dandy, but it's not my cup of tea.
 
start sage this week.

give the guy a chance.

he needs a chance with the first team to see how he is.

right now, the past couple of years he hasn't gotten the chance and he rightfully deserves a chance with our qb problem.

You know it is a lose lose with Feeley.

Some of you complain he stares down his WR.

Now that he is checking off and not staring down and going to his 2nd and 3rd option now u are upset he didn't take a chance.

Did you ever fathom to think that maybe our WR'S were not getting open? Hmmm there is a concept. Feeley how could you throw and make a completion to where the WR or RB had room to make a play and get YAC, shame on you Feeley shame on you!!!

You know I don't care what his YPA is if he makes 3 completions for 4 yards that is a TD and more effective then 3 incompletions at 20 yard attempts. Argue it, debate it all you want but that is a fact. The has been atleast 3 scoring opportunity drives with Feeley at QB that either ended in a fumble with Mann, a dropped pass by Thompson and another one I can't remember off the top of my head.

Like I say, QB always gets too much blame and credit for what he does.

Ummm I meant that is a 1st down not a TD sorry lol

What planet are you on, MARS!!! I'm not saying Ferrotte had a good game, but let's not say he sucked. Last I checked, half of the receivers didn't remember how to catch the ball. In addition, the offensive line looked god awful! So while the quarterback's didn't play well, sometimes there are more there than meets the eyes. Quite honestly, I'm getting sick and tired of these Feeley/Ferrotte threads! Enough is enough!!:couch2:

LOL wasn't that the infamous game where McMichaels was dropping balls left and right after complaining about the attempts at him lol

Not a good example bro, especially when the whole argument of dropped passes bringing a logical conclusion that the YPA would have been greater had they been caught.
