confused with Mcintosh situation?

While the Dolphins still want to keep him, he may be on his way to Oakland instead." This from PFW. Now I know they aren't the most reliable source, but whats going on with him? Doesnt the word "renegotaite" mean he is signed but at a reduced rate? Im just very confused as to if he is signed and if not WHAT IS GOING ON?

The Dolphins contend that he was never "officially" signed because the deal hinged on passing the physical.....I assume that means that he IS NOT signed by us at the moment and the re-negotiation implies that we are again trying to negotiate a contract with him.....as is Oakland...
