Here are some key observations from this morning's practice:
1) Tannehill Looks Comfortable - What I see from fourth-year quarterback Ryan Tannehill is a player that has extreme confidence in his abilities and command of this offense. Tannehill finally looks like just playing the position, from his footwork to ball handling, to his decisiveness when delivering the football. The majority of his passes over three days, and yes even the deep ball, has been on target. He's allowing the receivers to make routine catches and giving them run after the catch opportunities.
2) D-Line Is Loaded - The presence of Ndamukong Suh has been tremendous and will elevate this entire group, but this unit is more than just Suh. As a group, the defensive front looks fast and very athletic, having the chance to dominate and disrupt offensive schemes. It's a given that Cameron Wake, Olivier Vernon and Earl Mitchell just add to the problems for the opposition, but this unit has depth. When you add Terrence Fede's athleticism, Derrick Shelby versatility and the passing rushing of Chris McCain, the group can get after in multiple ways!
3) Receivers Pushing Each Other - The first day it was Michael Preston emerging, then came http://www.miamidolphins.com/multim...s-Flight/c8ca7cc3-0171-4a12-8f4e-f1dbaf6c6fe0LaRon Byrd's strong performance. Today it was more about the group playing with consistency. Rishard Matthews started things off on the first play of the one-on-one drill running under a Tannehill deep ball with ease. Jarvis Landry took a bubble screen in stride and went untouched for 15 yards on the first play of the team drill. Greg Jennings and Kenny Stills have proven difficult to deal with because of their route running skills and how they make every route the same to the defender. This group's talent fits well within the scheme of this offense so I would expect this group to continue to excel and push one another throughout camp.
