Yeah, getting back into the swing of things, tough Dec. for the family...football definitely took a backseat..however...Yeah, I do think Marty can get us there. Besides, there really is no one else out there that would do a better job with such a young team such as Marty. I believe the players play for Marty, they respect Marty, and the players want to WIN FOR MARTY. Say what you want to say about "Martyball" but that is all fiction. Marty has changed quite a bit, just take a look at the pass attempt stats, etc... And people say Martyball doesnt score, if my recollection is correct, we were #2-3 all year long in points scored.
Id like to blame it on a few things this year, but they are all part of the game. 1. the blocked field goal with 2 minutes left that went back for a 70 yard TD the other way. 2. Benching of Gates in the first game due to his agents stupidness, 3. Pittsburgh game and 2 no calls on PI....but as said, theyre all part of the game so its not an excuse. Did you know we lost 6 of those games with a total of 14 points combined..or something like that.
But to answer your question---yes, I believe in Marty, and believe in what he can do. I just hope Im right. :)
