Your 2013 draft was absolute trash. Another achievement under your belt.

1st: Dion Jordan- no comment
2nd:Jamar Taylor- traded to Cleveland
3rd:Will Davis- traded to Baltimore
3rd: Dallas Thomas- Free Agent
4th: Jelani Jenkins- regressing LB
4th: Dion Sims- mediocre TE
5th: Mike Gillislee- cut...with Buffalo
5th: Caleb Sturgis- cut...with Philadelphia
7th: Don Jones-free agent.

Isn't that like 80% of NFL teams drafts though? I get Ireland is a hack and Miami has gone a long time without drafting a stud, but lets be fair here. A majority of rookies drafted into the NFL do not become all pro football players. Hell they are lucky to become mediocre football players. The amount of Bradys, Mannings, Fitzgeralds, Elways, Marinos, Sanders', and Rices are exponentially smaller than those that can't cut it in the NFL.. Just because Miami has has ****ty drafts doesn't mean other teams haven't as well.

It's only been 3 years and no one from that draft is a key contributor right now. We're not talking about elite players. Just players doing their jobs. I don't think 80% of the NFL are having drafts like what Miami had in 2013.

Yeah, it sucks, but it didn't need another thread about it

I assume key contributer means someone who is a starter? Or does that mean anyone who makes the team and can stay on the roster regardless of depth?

Fact of the matter is if anyone of those guys were still on the team the outlook would be they aren't elite. It wouldn't matter if the guy had a stating position or was a back up for a starter, I'm sure you'd still have an issue with the draft unless they were an all pro player.

Again, I get Ireland is a hack but I am sure there are plenty of teams that have had drafts like the Dolphins 2013 draft.

Honestly, this was terrible, but that was a bad draft too. Lots of teams had bad drafts that year. I was more disappointed with some of his other drafts, where there were good players, we just didn't select them.

Picks and money bro, picks and money.

I'm not mad at the picks I'm mad at how they turned out. 8 of those 9 players can play in this league.

I agree. But I can not get over the fact that he had 9 picks and could hit on at least 2 of them. The guy never should have been our GM!:rolleyes2:

9 picks netted the team two average to below average players. Sims is a backup TE and Jenkins who has been injury prone and has played awful when on the field this season. That is a terrible draft no matter how you want to look at it

Guess what the jets coaching staff just went 10 6 last year all former fins assistants. Looks likes we are looking at excuses instead of solutions.

It was a weak draft... but his choices were even worse as it stands now.

Miami is going to need to trade down in the draft in hopes of the ol' shotgun approach to find players to fill the many voids on this team. It's not gonna be pretty for several more years.
