Congratulations Fin Fans

Thanks guy. Sean Spence from the U is a flat out baller. A little undersized but you guys got a real good player. Probably the defensive MVP of the Canes last year.

Did the OP mention Snatchez, hotdog eating contests or surprize buttsecks? Then odds are junc aint reading.

The OP showed too much class. I had to filthy the place up a bit. Sorry...

6-10 isn't meant to be disrespectful. It is a realistic goal with a young QB and first time HC. It's means you are playing your young guys and letting them develop through the growing pains, something the Steelers never do which I can't stand. I'd rather role the dice with our second round CB Brown then play William Gay. With Buffalo getting much better, the Pats being who they are and the Jets competitive it will be tough to break .500. But that is good because then you pick top ten again and assuming Tannehill is for real, you should be stocked with talent and ready to really make some noise.

This has to be one of the best drafts I have seen from your team since I have been watching the draft. While it may not have been as good as my Steelers...it was pretty darn impressive. Screw the pundits who 'think' you reached for Tannehill. You don't find athletic 6 foot 4 inch QB with great arms and amazing athleticism every year. I would wager that talent wise in last two drafts he would have only followed Luck, Newton, and RG3 and if he had better talent around him in college and one more year starting at QB that may have been different. Nobody knows him better than your coaches so I would trust their judgment on this one. Great job finally going for it at the most important position. Martin in round 2 was nice and you now have a pretty stout line especially if you get better guard play. Vernon and Wake I am sure will wreak havoc and meet at the QB plenty for years to come. You will now have a more dynamic pass catching TE in Egnew who is a huge improvement. Great pickup of a talented Lamar Miller who projected much higher. Now you have perhaps deepest set of RBs in the league. I am sure one or two out of either Cunningham, Mathews, Moore, Naanee, Wallace will develop and your WR corp might be better than you think. After all, Moore, Wallace, Gates all went without OTAs last season and they desperately needed them so I would not be surprised if they are productive.

Seems to me from the outside, that the previous four or five regimes really screwed you. However, the last two drafts have been nice and assuming a 6-10 record you will have high picks next year and be able to finish the 3 year plan and really return to respectability. Good luck, I know it's been a drag for awhile but true fans don't abandon their teams during tough times and hopefully things turn around for you that stuck it out.
are you related to Jeff Ireland?.....lol....jk. Thanks for the post. Your team has always been one of my favorites to watch. I have always want us to have a team like PITT.....great defence and running game and one of the best QB that makes plays. Maybe we're on our way......I hope so anyway.

Ozzy rules!!

Hey Junc - you reading?

I congratulate you when you win not over a draft where no one has any idea if these guys will be successful or not. When you have success on the field, when you beat us I always congratulate you.

With all due respect, and remember I said with all due respect, 6-10 ain't worth a velvet painting of a whale and a Dolphin getting it on. (just kidding, hope you've seen Talladega Nights) 6-10 may be a realistic attainable goal but seriously with our pretty solid defense and the vastly improved coaching staff I don't see us being worse than our 7-9 record last year, especially since our schedule is pretty favorable. We will have some growing pains and all that, but Harbaugh did pretty well last year. I agree with the poster that said 10-6. I'm not saying your 'wrong' or anything just feel we'll do better. I appreciate your post and your recognition of what looks to be a solid draft. I too respect the Steeler organization and honestly don't mind seeing y'all have success. Although I'd be a liar if I didn't admit that I'm still pretty mad about how our last game ended with y'all. I know it wasn't the Steelers fault, but that call was painfully wrong.

Good Luck this year!

I always find it laughable when people say we reached for the QB. It just proves the pundits are speaking unsubstaniated claims. A reach is someone that you have to move up to get. Tannehill fell to us, we didnt move up for him so by definition, he wasnt a reach. If he is successful or not is another story.

Two solid drafts in a row and what a coincidence that Bill Parcells had NOTHING to do with it!

and a coach that doesn't an IQ 2 points lower than a stick, I think Ross knows what he's doing.
Wait a minute where did our old coach go? Yes I remember he's now the Jets OC, I guess Rex decided to hire the guy that has had his team number for 4 years.
