I haven't taken the time to evaluate your forum's reaction to the news of Jeff Fisher becoming the coach of the St.Louis Rams but I'll tell you how you should feel.

Ecstatic.

Take it from me, a diehard Titans fan. The man was incredible at two things. Manipulating the media into conning fans by writing glowing articles about his 8-8 seaons and losing important games when the team managed to do better than 8-8. The Fish hasn't won a playoff game in eight years. The guy sucks and is a slimeball.

Toast to you Dolphin fans for dodging this bullet.
 
On top of all that, the guy seemed to have serious issues alienating some of his key players, like Vince Young and Billy Volek.
 
Fisher's like that woman who looks good from across the street prompting you to cross over for a better look - but when you get up close, not so much.
 
Thanks for posting! Alot of people on this forum are blinded by the fact that he was with the same team for 17 seasons..That is all they see. Which is an accomplishment in and of itself. But I agree with you that in terms of being a successful head coach, his overall work would indicate he is not. Although I wouldnt have been EXTREMELY disappointed by if we hired him, I am very relieved that he did not choose us.

Great post, that made me feel better. Fans always know more than any analyst.
 
Analyst are blinded by their butt kissing. I had a Titan's fan in my office (a female) and she said Fischer was a horrible coach for her team. She said, "you all don't want him."

that's true: it was the same thing with Orton where on 2 Denver polls 90% or more of the fans wanted him gone... and it turns out they were spot on. I usually check out fans boards to get the lay of the land. It's like the yahoo movies review site: there's always a disconnect between critics(media) and actual users(fans) where the critics may award a high cumulative grade but the movie turns out to suck and of course vice versa. I won't go ahead to waste my time seeing a movie if the users' ratings are low no matter the critical acclaim.

Well that woman was our owner's first choice of who he would like to sleep with, he just couldnt get her into bed.
