I take a lot of crap on here b/c it is perceived I don't give you credit, the reality is I have been here since 2004 and if you are honest you will understand there haven't been many times to praise the Dolphins. That certainly is not the case for yesterday.

BIG TIME win, your team was outstanding. Tannehill was excellent. Again, I got bashed for saying he wasn't nearly as good as the #s the last 2 weeks well yesterday he was better than the #s and he put up outstanding #s. We talked about some short passes your receivers made excellent individual plays to score on but yesterday the drive of the game was at the end of the 1st half where he put the ball in a perfect spot for Wallace to break free for the TD. He deserves all then credit, if he played like he did the previous 2 weeks you would not have won yesterday but he stepped up and played a great game.

One quick thought on the HC, to me if you guys finish these last 2 weeks the way I expect(w/ 2 wins) he should be Coach of the year. Coming into the season we all knew you had playoff talent but when you started losing then the Incongnito/Martin thing happened he easily could have lost the team and what is even more impressive is how they responded after the loss to Tampa. That could have sunk you guys losing to a winless team in the middle of the off the field nonsense. I know reid has done a great job but Philbin deserves it if you finish these last 2 games w/ win.

W/ all that said you have work left to do. On paper these next 2 games should be wins but now all that positive media attention you guys have been craving for years will appear this week. This current groups of players has never experienced winning before so they will hear all week how great they are and how they should roll over Buffalo. Buffalo is not bad, if you don't enter this game w/ the same level of urgency this week you can get picked off. I expect you will win, I think you are on a roll now that can continue into January but there is work left to be done.

Enjoy this run, the real fans deserve it and I am happy for you(though obviously not rooting for you). Don't get ahead of yourselves, enjoy the moment and good luck the rest of the way.

Philbin has to preach finishing what you start these last two weeks. No game I believe will be a givin, gotta work hard and lay it all on the field.

Thanks.

I can imagine its no fun over at Gang Green about now.

Note.. I don't remember too many people/pundits saying we had playoff talent at the start of the season. They all said we were just off season spending champs (even though we had to spend our cap) and that spending champs never do well.

Good write up. Im also worried the media attention might get into the players head and that they'll lay an egg againts buffalo. They need to understand theyre still not in the playoffs, gotta finish the job first

you're a good dude.. I just really hope you didn't jinx us into a Jets loss Week 17 with this kind thread.

No one is holding you hostage for what you said 2 weeks ago. You are on this site often, you can see that we are an overreactive bunch. After the Tampa loss a lot of us were calling for Philbin's head, now he is being praised (and Ireland is staying). Its a tough long year of football and it pays dividends to teams that can turn it on December. For sooo long the Dolphins would come out strong and then flop in December, so this is a very nice change. Good luck next year and please don't spoil our season in Week 17 lol

Everything starts at the top and Philbin never gets to lofty with the team. Philbin is always grounded even when the team is doing well. I think this attitude will help the fins over the next two weeks. Our players in the locker room never exude a superiority vibe like you see in some teams. (Jets whenever they are doing well)

When Rex Ryan's teams are doing well he exudes a swagger and his team all follows this attitude.. This has bitten the Jets in the butt a few times in games they should have won.

Philbin is not Rex Ryan and our players seem to echo our coaches attitude which is more humble and determined. I have yet to see one interview where a dolphins player or coach has made any bold proclamations of victory. Hopefully this streak extends for our last 2 games.

Thank you sir! I agree there is still alot of work to be done, but let's enjoy the ride! Yesterday was a huge win and a huge step for Tannehill, Philbin, and the whole team.

I agree 100% these are 2 dangerous games coming up. We always struggle in Buffalo and the Jets would love to knock us off. I think the team should be motivated for the Bills as I would think they consider losing to Thad Lewis an embarrassing loss they'd like to make amends for. Hopefully they're not over confident for the Jets matchup in week 17, we'll see. If you want the playoffs you've got to be able to knock off these 2 teams. If you think you're going to have any shot at winning in Cincy, Baltimore or Indy you have to be able to win in Buffalo.

I've been on the forum many years too and always enjoy your posts. I'm much more a lurker than a poster but like to "tip the hat" when I see a praise worthy post. I'm not quite sure what drives a fan from a rival team to be such a regular on an "enemy" site, but I welcome your intelligent opposing views and your spirited give and take. Thanks for hearty congratulations, ...as a long time Phiin fan...just smelling the playoffs make us a bit woozie. Cheers and happy holidays!

Nice post. Anyone who has been around here long enough to have seen the idiot Bills fans who used to run rampant on this board during Bills-Dolphins game weeks will know that nyjunc brings a lot more to this board than any of them ever did.

Thanks for the kudos on the team. It is obvious that having a good QB can change everything for the better. Hopefully, Tannehill continues his growth, maturity and confidence and can lead the Dolphins to being an AFCE crown contender for at least the next 10 years. The long suffering fans sure do deserve it.

Questions to you, if the Jets lose out the next 2 games does Ryan stay? He is a character for sure but he also seems to be a very good football coach.
If the Jets had Tannehill do you think they would be in the playoffs? (I do)..

first part, I think rex deserves to stay. I would be very upset if we fired him but I won't be shocked b/c the new GM may want a new coach. I don't think we are far off from being a playoff team and we have tons of cap room and picks this offseason to help plug some holes sort of like you guys last year.

I think decent QB play and we win 2-3 more games so yes. It's not all geno's fault, the injuries around him have hurt him but he wasn't ready to play starting this year. he is actually beginning to look like an NFL QB, I hope he finishes strong and it is a good sign for the future.

well first, you take a lot of flack here, and most of it's deserved, but you do post after the jets win or lose, and overall you're probably my favorite villain. anyway, yeah it feels great to experience our 2nd non-losing season since 2007!
