In a move that significantly widens the impact of wrestler Chris Benoit's murder-suicide case, two congressmen who opened steroid hearings into Major League Baseball have requested that World Wrestling Entertainment provide records pertaining to the WWE's testing policies and practices.

I said this in another forum; this is not to remove steroids from wrestling. The WWE was saying Benoit passed his last drug test, but it was discovered he'd been getting 10 months worth of testosteron from his doctor since last October (he was tested in March). Their trying to see how reliable WWE's testing actually is.

Congress is wasting time with PRO WRESTLING as the "evil-doers" are plotting to kill us!!!

Great, I feel a lot safer today. Boy does this country have it's priorities mixed up!!!

I dont disagree with you about the country having its priorities mixed up, but on the other hand, wrestlers are dying left and right, someone has to step in and find out why they are all dying of the same exact thing almost every time.

on the wrestlecrap forums, someone made a good point; most of the wrestlers that are dye young are guys who came up throught the business in the 80s (that includes Eddie and Benoit). Most wrestlers from that time period acknowledge the fact that they spent most of their time partying. Hell watch "Ric Flair and the 4 Horsemen". Double A and Tully Blanchard said they would party all night, sleep a couple hours on the beach, do the show, then start to party again. The wrestlers in the 80's were like rockstars (mainly because of the territories).

Brother all of the eighties stars mainly are still alive...its the NEXT gen, that started the heavy drug use, mixing it with who knows what. Eddie, Benoit,Pillman, on and on.....when you say 80's, you are talkin the Horsemen..all alive, Rhodes alive, Hogan, living, The only ones from that generation that really fall into this would be Henning and Rude, but they were both late 80's players. The real story here is how are they going to prove the testing isnt accurate? You cant exactly go back four yrs and take actual blood samples, etc.

I remember a while back Vince McMahon was getting some heat over the fact he used to supply a lot of the wrestlers with steroids. I can't confirm this but i remember when it happened. It really wouldn't be a surprise, but why exactly isn't that getting any mention in all of this? It seems like the WWE are actually bothering to try and act like their wrestlers don't take steroids.

I see Saturday Night Live actors dropping dead at a record rate for one TV show that only does about 12 shows a year. Let's waste the time of congress and investigate that.

I see these rap guys shooting each other up in the streets, let's have congress investigate the "culture" of that business.

Wrestlers aren't dropping dead left and right. This has snowballed into that when each wrestler has died, its a WWE WRESTLING DEATH. JYD gets in a car accident, and its OH MY GOD ANOTHER WRESLTER HAS DIED!!! A wrestler dies of Cancer and its, OH MY GOD ANOTHER WWE GUY HAS DIED!! People die. It's a part of life. Sure, some guys do roids and die, but that goes on in the NFL and MLB as well. How many Pittsburgh Steelers offensive linemen from those great 1970's team are still alive??? Answer I believe is NONE!!! They all died from roid side effects.

I mean for pete sakes we are going to investage PRO WRESTLING!!!! Are you kidding me!!!

No, Vince was accused of this. Went to federal court. And was found innocent. It was a bogus case and the prosecution was made out to be a laughingstock with their case. They had Vince selling guys drugs in Pennslyvania on specific dates when he was on those specific dates at TV tapings in NY and Conneticut. The whole case was a total farse!

You are sugar coating a very serious issue. Its not just "PRO WRESTLING" its peoples lives, and you are correct, people in the NFL and MLB have done roids and guess what? They have been or are being investigated. If people like Vince Mcmahon are pressuring or coaxing his performers to use growth hormones of any kind, he needs to be held accountable. IMO, he is in one form or another responsible for the Benoit family death. He and his company have blood on their hands, and if you think its a waste of time to look into an industry where coincedently a third of the performers have "mysteriously" loss muscle mass since the Benoit incedent, or the numerous rumors about McMahon telling multiple wrestlers that "I do not care what you are on, but as of now get off it" does not prove his guilt, then thats you. I dont see this as just a "Pro Wrestling" issue. This is an industry that our heroes are here today, gone tomorrow.....

Perhaps the case was a farce, but the suggestion that such a thing could be happening / has happened before is a certain realistic possibility.

Say what you want about Vince. But I don't see a multi-millionare selling drugs for a few extra bucks on the side and risking his fortune!!!

How??????????Did Vince choke out the wife and kid?????????? Benoit didn't kill because he was on steroids. He killed beause he was a murderer!!!

You are taking an insane logic that once you become a wrestler you can pin anything you want on Vince and personal responsibilty goes out the window. More than half of the people on these "death lists" never even worked for Vince. It's a joke!

Just like MLB, this will go to Congres. Vince and the drug testing company will show up. Congress will point their finger raise their voice, ask dumb questions like they did with MLB.........then the next day everything goes back to normal with nothing changing. And after the hearing (like with the MLB ones) the congressmen will get autographs and pictures with whoever shows up at the hearing. What a waste of time and taxpayer money

If you hire someone to kill someone, your just as responsible for that persons death as the person that does it. If you KNOWINGLY look the other way or contribute to possibly violitale situations you are also partially responsible for the outcomes. And I am not talking about the people that didn't work for him, you are correct he cannot be held accountable for them. But the ones that did he can. And even in the face of evidence being presented you still refute the fact that he was under the influence of steroids as well as downers. Brother I dont know if you have ever taken anabolics but they alter your state of mind, and for him to have ten times the amount in him is insane.
