OK, so what does everyone think about Conor Barwin (Cincinnati) and the possibility he could be our first pick in the draft?

He's 6'4" 256lbs and runs a 4.6 forty or something close anyway.

Would you be happy to have him or do you think he's a 2nd Round talent?

Thoughts?

I would be positively delighted if he were our 1st rounder, unless Malcolm Jenkins somehow slides to our pick.

I would be ecstatic. That would put the cabash on JT coming back however IMO. I also think he would be a pass rush specialist while playing some ST and TE. He will be all over the place. I also see him as very good in pass coverage. He would be the ultimate in disguise.

I have always thought that what Gil Brandt said about a LB that BP is happy to even move up and get who is not high profile...that this is the guy. Everyone talking Britt now...I say that is a rouse to get the Giants or Indy to move up and get him.

Connor Barwin would be a solid pick. He might be the best athlete in the draft and his desire to succeed and be great does it for me

everthing about him is a plus...including his football IQ....TE-ST-LB and the possible move to an outstanding MLB spot would definatley be a target for the pats, even with Mayo there.....so I truley would be delighted with him at 25 or earlier

I would use our later 2nd round pick on him. He would be a steal if he dropped to the third. He might because he would be somewhat of a project player.

he is overrated by a lot of teams according to Mike Mayock on NFLN and i have to agree we are going off of what these guys do in the combine in shorts and a t-shirt im not saying he is a bad player but he isnt a first round player like every one in here thinks he was projected in the 4th round at the end of the season

he could go to the pats before us in round one...if we let him slide in round 1, he wont get past the packers in round 2...they are targeting jackson in round 1 and i think theyll go for a lb/de in round 2 to transform into a 3-4...

I agree. He is definitely a project. Someone is going to reach on him, and he is a great athlete, but I think you are looking down the road a couple of years before that investment pays off. I realize that could be said about almost every player drafted, but I think even more so with him. He is not 1st round grade prospect, IMHO.

i agree he may end up being a great player but at 25 he would be way to much of a reach maybe if he has been practicing in pads then i could understand him going in the first if he did good

Although he is a project....you have to admit that 11 sacks in one seasons, the first season on defense, is pretty impressive. I'd get him in the 3rd round but I know he wont be there.

4.6 ???????? He ran a 4.47 at his pro-day, which isn't good; it's freaky for a guy 6'4" 256 lbs.

He also has a vertical over 40 inches.

In fact he lacks nothing in any aspect of the game. He is great at everything and has HUGE upside.

There is still a real good chance he goes long before the Dolphins pick.

The only thing he wasn't great at was four years of
great football production...Don't see Parcells drafting a one year wonder
