I believe we are 3 picks away at 36 from getting our RB in Javonte Williams, but if for some reason we miss out I think we should take Cuba Hubbard later in the draft (not at 36). He has homerun ability out of the backfield with blazing speed.

6' 0" 210 lbs
Check him out.

Try again on Saturday. They are looking for a RT or C first.

He should’ve came out last year.

His teammate maybe.

I think Skura is going to be fine. He had a tuff time coming off of his injury as expected but should be fine this season. Hope they pick up Williams at 36 and a Tackle with the second 2nd round pick. Worst case scenario is Hunt stays at RT where he did well during the end of last season.

We need to draft a tackle and an interior linemen at 36 and 50 if we miss out on Williams today.

I fully expect Austin Jackson, Solomon Kindley and Robert Hunt to show some improvements this season since they have a year under their belt now. Jackson, Kindley, and Hunt still aren't bust but they're still not solidified future players for us yet either. We really still have no clue the type of players they'll turn out to be so we have to wait to see how they develop and improve with some experience. I like our chances of fixing the line more with 5 young developing linemen with nice potential instead of just 3 young linemen with potential. Hopefully a few of those guys would then turn out to be good pieces for our line's future.
Loading up our line with that much potential could improve the run game regardless who's carrying the ball at that point.
If we managed to load up the line with all that potenital, I think it'd make senese to double up on RB in the 3rd and 5th round.

Yup. I can see those holes Jesse Davis and Matt Skura are going to provide.
There are more suitable options at both tackle and center that will be available at 50, whereas 36 is our last shot at a sure fire day 1 starting RB in Williams if he's there.

If Williams is gone then I'd want to go tackle and center at 36 and 50 though.

If Williams is gone and we allow ourselves to NOT get a blue chip RB again, like last season, we are hopelessly out of touch with how to make our offense better. How do you pick a concussion prone edge piece and leave Etienne and Najee on the board. I'm a U of Miami fan because I went to school there but Phillips is more potential than production. He only had 12 sacks in 20 games but you leave the best RBs in the nation on the board. If we don't get Williams I won't understand what we are doing. If he's our favorite RB I can live with it but so far Mr Tradeback is getting his pocket picked.
