IMO our constant selection of controversial players is stopping our progress and not allowing us to move on.Why is this organization infatuated with choosing questionable players?

David Boston:Blown out knees plus previous steroid problem.

Ricky Williams:Repeat drug suspensions.

Daunte Culpepper:Mangled knee injury.

Manny Wright:Clinical depression, unable to stay in shape.

Kelly Campbell: Reoccuring hamstring problems, not even in the league the last couple of years.

Jason Allen: Severe hip injury that was almost career ending.

Marcus Vick: Bad character issues in college.

Roderick Wright:Torn rotator cuff.

IMO its is hard to feel confidence and consistency in such a shaky roster. IMO we will be in a constant state of chaos until we start eliminating these question marks and closing our wounds. Is it such a crime to stay away from players with such severe health problems or character issues? Why not go after players who love the game and have their head on straight and are primarily healthy or have slight injuries? We have invested alot of money ,roster spots ,and draft picks into questionable players.IMO keeping a roster spot open for Ricky Williams and not knowing when he is gonna leave again is getting old? The whole Daunte controversy is getting played out; will he ever be healthy, can he be successful if he is less mobile? When are we gonna end all this drama and uncertainty and be able to know who our starters are not have all these swiriling question marks? Is anyone else tired of this and think it is stopping our progress? Thoughts?

I have confindence in what they choose.

1st. Rod Wright is playing this year.
2nd. Jason allen did pretty good as a backup last year.
3rd. Ricky is a good player same as Culpepper.
4th. I agree wih you on Boston
5th. Manny Wright didn't want to play with Saban.

I wasn't questioning their talent or that they are good players. I was saying that due to their severe injuries or personal problems they are unreliable.

and dont forget about our ist rd pick named eddie moore who was knocked out at the ihop by a womans husband . by the way if my linebackers ever got knocked out like that i would have cut him the next day.

Every team could have a list that big or bigger if you searched their rosters.
Players who come cheap (boston, campell, williams) are woth the risk because they isn't much to loose.

The draft pics (minus allen, who showed no evidence of injury this season) were all late rounders. In the late rounds you either take somone with little talent, or someone with big talent who has question marks. Its worth the risk.
