Cool story I thought I'd share with my fellow fin fans out there. My beautiful fiancee (whom I've converted to a Fins fan :dolphins: ) was driving to work on I4 in Orlando, in the downtown vicinity. She happens to be in stop and go traffic due to a bad accident. She just so happens to notice that an older gentlemen behind her driving a nice new Infinity SUV looks somewhat familiar. Low and behold, she recognizes it's one of the greatest coaches ever, the great Don Shula! He got off at one of the Maitland exits. She called me up at work to tell me about it and it was like my excitement poured out through her. It's just too bad she couldn't stop and get an autograph for me or a picture somehow. I showed her a fairly recent photo of him and she swears on her life it was Mr. Shula. :dolphins: :dolphins:

I'd have gotten out and ran up to him to shake his hand.

Keep that women for ever! If she knows what Don Shula looks like that's amazing. My wife thinks I just love the mammal she has no idea it's a football team.

And you would have promptly been ran over by his 22's spinning.

Perhaps, but what a story that would be, huh???

cool story...my uncle a few years back saw don shula at a bar and he ran out bought a football and got don to sign it, its one of his prized possesions that he shows off in his living room.....i told him to give it to me on his will hah

I ran into Shula at the Surf Club in Miami Beach...about 2 years ago...he was coming out of one of the stalls.....

I said " hey coach what's up".....he told me ....I am human!! We both started laughing...

super nice guys...his wife Marianne is a member of the club as well.

I think the best part of the story is not that she saw Shula, but rather that you have a beautiful fiancée who likes the Dolphins.
