Coordinator interviews

A lot of fluff, particularly given it is first OTAs.

Two themes...team approach and versatility.

Development of the playbook was/is a collaborative team approach. Everyone gets input, including players.

Kept some plays, schemes, added new ones. Will continue to develop. It is a living playbook.

Even simple plays work if executed well.

There have been discussions on who will be calling plays, but did not divulge anything else.

“Versatility” was said a lot to describe players. Every OL has played tackle, several players get reps at snaps, there isn’t a WR designated as a slot receiver, etc.

Shocker...all agree, speed is good enabling to stretch defense. Tua will benefit from WRs getting space and understanding the WRs who are good at winning the 50//50 balls

OL has high character players. Addressing identity said toughness, discipline and detailed. There is a difference between dirty and nasty. Obviously wants OL to be nasty. Sukra took bad snaps personally and working hard. Compared snapping to a golf swing getting the pendulum.

Many players will get practice as returners, nothing decided yet.

Likable coaching staff.

Ummmmm.. the Co Offensive Coordinators officially have me worried ....

"The entire offense has been built as a collaborative effort, Flores, the players Goodsey and Studsville"

To me this sounds like too many chefs in the kitchen..... I didn't like the idea of 2 offensive coordinators when it was first suggested and now I hate it. We should have went out and found a real OC with some experiance.

This issue is the biggest red flag we have in this organization.

I kind of have the same feeling. I really think there has to be a person to make the final decisions. There are times where a team approach is good though. I dont know, I hope coach Flo is right on this one...

Good videos. One interesting thing is how young our staff is as a whole. Receivers, o line, d line, linebacker. Those are some very young guys.

Interesting to note that Special Teams Coach, Danny Crossman was also promoted to the role of Assistant Head Coach. That one had slipped past me. It tells me that Coach Flo must have some confidence in Danny as his right hand guy and will take on more responsibilities.

I hope that this doesnt cause more disagreements, when theres 2 chiefs. I see where youre coming from. I mean, how will they come to an agreement on which play would work, espescially when the game is on the line?
