Ok so Mularkey should obviously be fired and our defense has regressed under Dom Capers (we can't seem to blitz effectively after last year being second in the NFL in sacks.) For the OC i say we promote from within, and hire Jason Garrett, the QB coach, as our new OC. Hes been here a couple of years and should know how to utulize our playmakers. For DC how about Jim Bates. We always had a great defense under him and I don't think that he is on a team right now. In 2004 after Wanstedt resigned, he led us to 3 or 4 wins with a terrible team as interim head coach. Thoughts?

I say we keep Capers at Defensive Coordinator for at least another year, we do have the 5th ranked defense in the NFL.

But then again, we're 1-6 lmao

I don't care. Kidnap him, do whatever it takes. He's already got the Rams going in the right direction. It's becomming more and more clear to me that he was the biggest ingrediant to our sucess last year. As for Capers, you're right, keep him. Mularky should already be gone and I don't understand why he's not.

I agree, we should stick with Capers.
 
Keep DC At DC... And Look For A Balanced Offensive Guy, Or Promote From Within... Which We Dont Do Anymore, Were Always Signing Someone.. Its Ridiculous.

Sounds great, but since all the players already know the system, why don't we let Jason Garrett run and call it? Mularkey needs to go somewhere at a college level like Wanstedt did. Just go. Linehan is alive and will not be leaving St Louis soon.
The Dolphins need to get the new team started and get Rod Wright, Manny Wright, Fred Evans all playing now and either trade Holiday, Carter for young talent such as Wr's or Db's. We still have tractor and Big Daddy, and Evans and the Wright Brothers should make for a real push. I watched Holiday run so far behind chasing RB's the last few weeks when they released him, he was gasping for breath. JT still can get it on, so he and Zach should both be kept for next yr, which I think will be Zach's last. I would move Crowder to MLB next year.
Tillman should be gone, Yerimiah Bell is a shoe in, and if Saban doesn't let Jason Allen get his feet wet now, he never will. Will Allen needs to get a serious head to head conversation about his play and mistakes and his pink slip should already be in his hand. One more stupid game and he is gone. The Dolphins need talent, and a high draft position is the way to get it. We are on the clock, so let the new players we have been grooming help us get to the best draft position we can while getting ready to be strong next season. Old high salaries out, new fresh legs in with lower salaries. Hello Brady Quinn.

Bates won't come back as DC because he runs a different defense than Saban. There is no way he would be hired to run the defense under Saban.
