Corey Chavous should be on top of our wish list since Shulters is most likely going to leave........ what an upgrade that would be!!

Corey is great in coverage but not that great in run support. Kinda the opposite of lance.

I think were gonna keep Shulters. But theres no reason the Chavous cant play along side Shulters.

i met corey once at best buy, he was doing drills inside the bldg...lol he loves football:goof:

If we could keep Lance, and move Cory to SS we would be in good shape. Cory would be a great addition to our mediocre secondary.

Cory Chavous is the most overrated safety in the damn league. He gets notorioty because of his intelligence of scouting every player in the league. I commend him on that....but it doesn't mean he is a great player. There are many people on this board, other boards, and on TV who can scout just as well but aren't as good.

The guy sucked in Arizona, came and had one good year in Minny, then got hurt the next, then was OK this year. As already said, he is "starting safety" in this league, nothing more and nothing special. I'll take Schulters and Bell over him...cheaper too. No one notices how many times Mr. Scout misses a tackle or blows his coverage, because they are too busy always bringing up what a "student of the game" Cory is

He sucked at Arizona because he was playing CB instead of safety. He is over-rated because some still see him as the the same safety from 2002-2003 when he was very good. That being said, would not mind the team signing him to a 1-2 year as Tebucky was last year if we're not able to get a better saftey in the draft or free agency. He's now an average player at best but would be good in the mix with Schulters (if resigned), Tillman, and Bell for the right price.
