im not ready to give reggie the axe yet. a pay cut definitly. and a significant one at that, but im not ready to watch him leave just yet.

Edwards hopefully. I still remember him getting toasted like a bagel in a campfire on Thanksgiving '03, and he just showed me more of the same against TB (seemed like he was behind the WR or just generally out of position every play i saw of him, unimpressive). Daniels is far better and should be at least the nickel back, or probably starter in front of Howard.

Sure bet: CB Sam Madison, CB Reggie Howard, S Yeremiah Bell, S Travares Tillman, S Tebucky Jones, S Lance Schulters, CB Travis Daniels.

Still battling: CB Kris Richard, S Tony Bua, CB Mario Edwards.

Likely goners: CB Billy Parker, S Jack Hunt, CB Deandre Eiland, CB Ray Green.

No way Howard gets cut, hes starting. He rocked against Tampa and has done good for us besides one preseason game. The only CB I WANT to get cut is Edwards.

So we cut Edwards and replace him with WHO guys!?

Bobby Taylor? If we were interested we would have brought him in already- he practically begged us to bring him in for a workout. Maybe a decent guy will be released, but then you are looking at a guy learning this very complicated defense in just over a weeks time? Yikes.

I dont know about you, but after watching the past 3 preseason games, I really feel like the concerns about our secondary were way overblown. It is all about pressure on the QB, and with our blitzing schemes and strong defensive front, we will be getting plenty of it- this has and will continue to make some mediocre corners look damn good. I dont think you will see as much tinkering as you expect... maybe one guy here or there.. but for the most part the secondary has improved every week and has really become a bright spot. The combo of coaches of Nick, Mel and Will Muschamp really seems to have done wonders.

Trues me there will be ALOT of CBs avaliable on the waiver wire that are MUCH better than Edwards

Edwards absolutely, and yes, let's see who gets the axe from others... I really liked (For the most part) what I saw out of this defense though Sat night.. it was refreshing to see the Bucs QB's come to the Line with an offense that usually makes defenders scratch their heads.. and have a confused look on their face instead..

I do agree Edwards has shown very little, but all I am saying is that anyone on the waiver wire may only be a minor improvement.. and that is once they learn the defense in its entirety. That could take quite a while, in which we case we may as well keep Edwards, who is at least familiar with it.
