But the division isn't necessarily out of reach is it? I mean if the Jets lose any game between now and Week 17 and we win the next 4 games wouldn't a win in week 17 give us the division?

I'm not the best at the whole tiebreaker situation and I'm sure it depends on which team the Jets would lose to but it just gives us a little something more to think about. It just seemed from articles and posts that it was already in the bag for New York when in all honesty one loss and we're right back in it.

Let's just hope they lose a game. And don't forget the Raiders beat them.:sidelol:

Yes, Miami wins the division at 11-5 if the Jets lose any one of their next four and the Pats lose any one of their last five.

Interesting but first we need to beat the Jets if we win, we can't let them score too many points. Which is the reason why I think the pats ran up the score at the end of last week's game, since we split the 2 games points become a deciding factor.

Man, if it had to go all the way down to points mattering that would be pretty crazy. Strength of schedule and strength of victory both come before points are taken into account.

Yes. We actually have a better chance to win the division than we do to win a wild card at this point.

I bottom line is that we have to focus on OUR games. If we win out the season we'd be 11-5 and i cant imagine a NFL team winning 11 games and missing the playoffs.

I know its highly unlikely the 3 teams from the AFC east get into the playoffs, but it is theoretically possible and still mathamatically plausable as well. We could find ourselves matched up against the Pats for a 3rd time this season. If the fickle hand of fate should deal us that hand it would be very intresting to say the least.

How about we start with beating the Rams first? One game at a time boys and girls, one game at a time! :)
