do you think the fish have any interest in Tim Couch at all or are just using it as a way to speak to Brees' reps without breaking any tampering rules? :D

Couch would probably be around 5th-6th on their list after Brees, Culpepper, McNair, and a couple others.

maybe we will get them as a package deal...brees as the starter..couch as the backup and cleo lemon as the # 3

i like couch and id like to see him in a dolphins uni

If we get Brees, i would LOVE to get Couch as our backup, because even as our backup qb he is still a big improvement over frerrotte.

Considering the large amount of talent surrounding him and his familiarity with the offense, aside from his decision making, he really kind of SUCKED, particularly when it comes to getting the ball into the hands of wide open receivers. Now I like Gus too, I know he played his best and gave it his all, which is all you can ask from anyone, but the fact of the matter is that in order to be a super bowl champion, a team is most likely going to need a qb with more talent than gus frerotte.

thats ridiculous. In all honesty frerotte could compete to be our starter next year. Do we replaace him because brees or culpepper are better and a long term answer? Yes. But is there any reason to hope he isnt our backup next year, considering he can do anything we ask him to do in this offense other than be extremely consistent? No. No we should not HOPE gus is gone next year for a guy like Couch who is no better than Cleo Lemon and doesnt have the chemistry with our offense that gus has. Unless you are bringing couch in to be a starter, he has no place here. Brees or culpepper is the future, Lemon is the up and coming (and he is more talented than some of you have any idea) and Berlin is working his way onto the 3rd string eventually.
BTW Lemon is the most talented qb weve had since Marino, even tho that isnt saying much

Yes, how horrible and unrealistic it is for us to expect to have a qb that demonstrates consistency. If this is the case, we better grab Culpepper while the going is good, because he is EXTREMELY inconsistent. GET REAL!!!!!!!!
