Could be worse...in my opinion

What makes you think Luck would be anymore successful than Henne? Especially with an awful offensive line and being a rookie that hasn't played a down in the NFL.

stats do not always tell the story.

the packers are as you showed are bottom 5 in the league in defense, but guess what?

they are by far and away the best team in the league, plain and simple. no team imo is even close to them. the thing about their defense is, despite statistically being poor, they make big plays at big times, which is all the difference. plus their offense is so god damn ****ing good, it covers up the problems on defense.

things really cant be a lot worse for us than they are now. the only consolation would be luck, or its a bust.

yeah i understand, i guess the point i was trying to make was that, really good teams can be just as bad as us, but they know how to make those plays that make up for it...its a whole team effort

What makes you think drafting a the #1 offensive lineman will make him any more successful than Marc Columbo? Every single draft pick is a risk. Go after the most important position in football: Quarterback.

Now that the Lions are 4-0 and a hot, young up-and-coming team, is anyone honestly bringing up their 0-16 season? Heck no. 0-16 got them a QB and set them up for success.

Uhhh, I bet Vikings fans (and other NFC north fans) do bring it up from time to time. I DO NOT want that stigma for my team, sorry.

and, btw, 1-15 would have gotten them the #1 pick as well. They didn't need to go winless that season to get Stafford

This philosophy has gotten us where we are today...

Many DolFans like mediocre QB play...

/sigh

You are right about the Lions...They are so exciting to watch now.

Who care if the Jets fans are chiding us over 0-16 as long as Andrew Luck is making them look like little bishes for the next decade and a half. I CERTAINLY DON'T!

While they are married to the trash that is Mark Sanchez. The best thing that ever happened to us was he went to 2 AFC title games cause of that defense and fooled everyone into thinking he was a WINNER. Now the defense is getting older and Sanchez has bought himself AT LEAST another 4-5 years as their QB.

All of you fools wanting to see us go win less drive me crazy. Even if they do get the number one pick, there is no guarantee they would choose Luck and even if they do, there is no guarantee that he will be good.

With being said, I would love to get the chance to see him in a Phins uniform but I don't want to see them be beat down time and time again for it.

Luck would mean we were the worst team on the NFL, that would mean we finally get rid off Sparano and Ireland, that would mean there is a 80% chance we have a HC and a GM that have a clue on what they are doing. Not doing moves that even us the ignorant fans knew were stupid and Sparano and Ireland ignored like Colombo and Carey. So I expect that any coach that gets in with Luck at least would put us in position of hope. Hope of seeing the coach screaming at Marshall after a dropped pass, cutting players like Miss-i, Burnett, Carroll, Smith, Colombo, Carey, Jones, Merling. Instead of clapping after a turnover conceded or fist pumping after our 45th fieldgoal of the season.

Considering that Matt Moore went into the game and we got the same scoring production out of the offense as we did with Chad Henne, I will safely say that Andrew Luck is definitely worth taking our chances with.

I like some of the stuff I've seen out of Henne this season, but he still isn't winning games for Miami in the clutch and he's still not a GOOD quarterback. He's okay.

Don't ever settle for okay.

Dude, are you insane? Just as likely to go 12-4 as 0-16? Don't you realize how stupid that sounds? An introductory course into Statistics would whoop your ***.

There is a big chunk of gold waiting for us in the toilet this year.

Gold in the toilet?

Well dont let the gold blind you to what elese is floating around in there.

Could be worse than 0-4... Nah, I don't really think so. I can promise you we're a lot closer to 0-16 than 12-4. Also, if every lucky break somehow takes us to 8-8 then that would be the doomsday scenario.
