Could Earl Campbell be Ricky Williams Dad?

I just hope he plays like Earl this year.

Being old enough to have watched Earl Campbell run I can tell you ...he was a beast.

No doubt. I've seen film of Jimmy Brown but no one can hold a candle to Campbell when it comes to flat running fools over. I don't think I've ever seen another running back who could inflict the kind of punishment that the Tyler Rose could...

I completely agree. He is the RB in my all time greatest team ... but my starting FB is actually even more of a punishment inflictor, Larry Csonka. ;)

John Riggins was a beast as well but as someone said, no one can hold a candle to Earl when it comes to bulldozing the opponent. As for Ricky, I have always thought that he is as close to being another Bo Jackson as it comes. Before he (Williams) went into "retirement" he had the mass and strength to run people over as well as the speed to bounce it outside. It's too bad that he squandered that because he is definitely not the same runner as he was when he first came here to Miami.

Sorry but brown for his time no only could hold a candle he was better at it.

Oh, no doubt Brown was the best NFL RB ever. But he was more of a finesse runner that would knock people down when he had to...Earl just knocked them down because he flat out enjoyed it.
