And if Adrain Peterson is available at no.9 which i think is a posibility would'nt you be forced to take him..Avg 5 yds a carry for 3 years at okl..i and unlike ronnie..who i love very much with his brusing play..he took the brunt of the carries at oklahoma..just a thought

if he falls and theres no one of value at #9 i'd think we'd be getting offers from alot of teams trying to trade up, GB being the most likly spot imo

He's more comparable to Eric
Dickerson than Thomlinson.

Adrian Peterson runs nothing like Tomlinson.. Have you seen him play in college at all ??

The other poster is right, Peterson runs upright , with a similar style to Eric Dickerson ..

imo he does'nt run like either of them,,erik dickerson was the epitomy of finesse,,,,peterson runs angry get the hell out of my way or i'am gonna run your azz over style,,,,,i can't compare his style to anyone that i've ever seen,,,he is a modern day jim brown only faster,,,,,,,theres no one that has had his skill set,,, ever.

yes peterson was the only one carrying the ball in oklahoma...and he never made it through a season healthy. the only season in which he played every game was his freshman year - which he did with a bum shoulder. picking peterson at 9 would be silly. and as mentioned above, we would get tons of value.

but this is all moot, it ain't happenin.

IMO Ronnie Brown is going to look a lot like Tomlinson this year. If you look at Ronnie's numbers and project them out to 330-350 carries they'll be very similar statistically. He has been the only thing that has really worked for our offense consistently. The last two years, watching our games, I am always saying to myself... "why don't they give him [Ronnie] the ball every play?" I don't mean just the hand off. A swing pass or short dump off to him on 3rd and 5 works better than a 7 yrd out to Derek "whoops dropped it" Hagan.

Just my $.02 on not needing Peterson. Ronnie's good enough and, oh btw, there's Ricky.

Peterson is a great RB prospect but I won't compare him to LT, LT is a great all around player who can also catch the ball. Peterson is a very good runner but I doubt his catching abilities

If Peterson is the bpa at 9...Mueller will select him....remember he drafted a running back even after having Ricky....and then traded him to some stupid team for a killing.

he drafted Ricky when he had McAllister, than after Ricky didn't work out for N.O. he traded him to us for a 1st and a 3rd

You just described Larry Johnson when he was at penn state. I think AP will be very much like Larry when he gets into the big leagues.

I believe the price was two first round picks and a third and he already had Ricky;

When Miami is on the clock with the No. 9 overall pick on April 28, Mueller said the Dolphins will choose the proverbial "best player available," even if the franchise seems to have more pressing needs.
Mueller recalled his decision in New Orleans to draft running back Deuce McAllister in the first round even though Ricky Williams was with the Saints. The following year, Mueller traded Williams to Miami and McAllister rushed for more than 3,000 yards combined during the next two seasons.

That trade became 2 first round picks and a third. Because of Ricky's performance.

No he had Ricky already, then he drafted Duce. After that he traded Ricky to Mia for a First and a conditional 3rd, that became a First based on performance.
