Could it be another abysmal year at quarterback?

so we go into the year with no clear-cut starting QB. we probably won't start joey harrington, considering he had like 60 yards against the bills and jets and was just inefficient towards the end of the season. starting daunte might be too risky. another option would be to go with cleo lemon, of course he has only started that one game against the colts.

then what happens if we draft brady quinn? do we start him? what if daunte isn't ready? there are many questions. but i think starting either daunte or joey could be risky, but hey i could be wrong. i know we shouldn't start joey because he's just too awful. well, it all depends how cameron works with these QB's
 
If C-Pep isn't healthy, start Cleo..... I want to see what he can do!

This is truly going to be interesting.
My gut tells me 2 things....
1. you gotta give Daunte a fighters chance to do his thing while truly healthy.
2. you gotta draft a talent like Brady Quinn if he's there at #9.

very tough situation, not to mention a young and highly regarded talent in cleo lemon. this is a tough situation to predict, and any prognosticator who calls it, is nothing more than lucky.
 
We have so many questions other than QB next year its a little scary--

..aging (but very good) defense
..unknown value at WR
..Ricky
..TE

I can't wait to find out if Cam wants to build for the future or retool and win now.
 
All Signs point to Daunte being healthy,is there something you know that we don't,,DAUNTE CULPEPPER IS OUR STARTING QUARTERBACK,what don't you guys understand,what are you reading, is it something different than me,the guy is ready to play and will be 100 percent,,,The man is 29 years old,thats the prime of his career,he's had two years to recover from his knee injury,,NOT A SHOULDER INJURY,he's been a three time pro bowler, an mvp canidate,and now he is a man who's motivated to be the best AND WANTS TO BE THE MIAMI DOLPHIN QB,,he was loyal to us by trying to get out there too soon,,HE DID THAT FOR US,,SHOW THE MAN SOME RESPECT
 
If Daunte is fully healthy and the line decides to block this time around, then we will be fine.

If Daunte isn'n healthy, or the line blows up again, then we are in for a long year at QB again.
 
I wouldnt mind trading for carr for insurance just in case culpepper dont come back strong or just see what lemon can do either way i wont be mad
 
Will you guys just relax. Daunte did decent even he was obviously hobbled with a pathetic offensive line.

exactly,the guy played on one leg with a bush league Oline,,he jeopardized his career for the dolphin uniform,,now he is a mad man with a #### load of talent and a huge chip on his shoulder ready to explode,,,what i find hilarious are people on this board who do not understand the true talent this man is blessed with,,,you combine that with anger and vengence and we are going to have a very BAAAAD man playing quarterback,,what i truly don't understand is why everybody is not as intrigued by this man as i am...
HE DESERVES A FAIR SHOT AT THIS POSITION WHICH HE HAS YET TO HAVE.
 
I dont know what we are going to see from DC this season coming but how do you all figure " he did just fine " if thats true why did he get benched? Why didnt he ever return? He did not do "just fine" He played terrible

His knee couldn't handle the pressure. He wasn't 100%.
 
I think with an improved oline and better playcalling all three QBs would have better years and be much improved. None of them are as bad as they seemed last year and a coach like Cameron should be able to develop gameplans that utilize the skills and diminish the deficiencies of whichever QB he uses. Doesnt mean they're the answer but we should have a halfway decent functioning offense this year, even if we dont bring in a new QB

That is a weak excuse for him. If he was still hurt and could not play he should of known it himself before the first game but certainly after the first game he should of went to saban and said he was not ready. That is an extreamly poor decision on his part and it dosnt explain his inability to hold onto a snap.


Adam your point is well taken and I agree if we make improvements in those areas are QB's should perform better.
