I was just woundering if Jason could be a SS he is physical enough if Y. Bell goes Down again could jason Allen Convert from FS to SS and then they would put Renaldo Hill as the FS

His frame is too small IMO...

He is a FS. I would rather put Hill at SS in that case. Hill was acutally used as a LB in some nickel packages when he played in Oakland...

Jason Allen is 6´1 and 213 pounds, Hill is 5´11 and 190 pounds, How can Hill be a better fit when he is actually smaller than Allen?

The way that I see safeties (and I may be mistaken) is that the FS is your center fielder, responsible for covering the center of the field. Meaning that he helps out on the deep routes, covers the middle, etc. The SS is more of your big hitter basically a smaller OLB. Usually he helps out more in run defense, but he also is responsible for coverage. I think that Jason Allen's coverage skills and closing speed makes him a better fit for a FS rather than him being too small for a SS.

Bell was ballhawking for us at ss and he played well for us, leave it at how it is. Allen @ FS & Bell @ SS.

All this switching around poor man is already confused with his true position after being switched from FS to CB to FS again... no wonder why people call him a bust let him learn a position then stay at it

i like Allen at FS and I like Bell at SS i was just saying if Bell gets hurt again could Allen fill in for him at SS

The last thing we need to do Jason Allen is move him again. He played well at FS, let him stay there.
i was just woundering that because if Bell gets hurt we really dont have any big hitting SS and Allen is a Pretty big hiter

...and the answer to your initial question is yes. jason allen definitely can. heck, doesn't troy polamalo "star" at SS and he is "smaller" than jason allen. as a matter of fact, jason allen is bigger and heavier than yeremiah bell, who started there last season for crying out loud.

allen played great in the second half of the season. but since he has actually struggled in pass coverage, he may do well or even better at SS. But he looks the part of a natural FS, so maybe they keep him there.

jason allen should be our starter at FS and then the backup to Yeremiah Bell should he go down to injury. Renaldo Hill is the backup FS/CB that can step in at FS while jason moves in at SS to replace bell. I think we are set at safety with the re-signing of Bell.

I believe he could play SS cause hes faster bigger and i belive he is more or a hard hitter. Plus he is a ballhawk.

i think he could play SS as he is an aggressive tackler..... but like said he is a slim build coverage type with centerfield skills that would go to waste on the strong side his deep coverage skills were the reason he went so high in the draft.... we need him hawking Moss.
