Firstly, let me state I think our coaching staff sucks and should be fired along with Ireland at the end of the year. Let me play devils advocate for a moment. Could Dion Jordan's lack of playing time be because he is slow to learn the Defense?? Could he be more seriously injured than the team is letting on?? I agree 100% HE SHOULD START. I happen to believe that he would have a significant impact if he played more. Hell, line him and Wake up on the same side. Imagine trying to block those two. As much as I hate Rex Ryan, I believe he would have this Defense balling, and Jordan would be a star.

I don't know or understand what the reason is....but the number 3 pick in the draft playing special teams makes me sick. If he's not playing because he can't play the run I can name 11 defensive starters in the Tampa game with the same issue. Get his butt on the field and let him sink or swim.

Nope... just very bad player management.

Remember that time you saw Cam Wake and Jordan rushing the passer together on every passing down? I dont..
Chubbs

agree with Chub... this is the "Scheme Regime", where they force round players into square holes... players either fit or fail... prob why 80% of the roster is in full fail... this Green Bay scheme takes 3-5yrs to adapt (low est.), so we've got 3 to go, or somebody's gotta go... ??

This - the season is going down the tube anyway give him some increased playing time or he'll look like a rookie again next year too.

Agree. Quickest way to improve? New coaching staff that knows what they're doing.

The guy goes in for a few plays and gets a couple of pressures. Why can't he play more?

Jordan could still become very good. Don't write him off already as a bust.
I think that he may need to get physically bigger and stronger. Remember, Cam Wake went undrafted and was cut by the Giants in training camp and ultimately went to Canada and succeeded. However, the physical specimen that we see in Cam today, is probably a little different to what existed as a rookie.

Because he can't stop the run....you know sense the other guys have been so effective....

yea we don't want to mess up the greatness we have going on that is our run d. every time I see our d gashed for 5-6 I want to punch Ireland in the mouth.

Ireland, Coyle, Wheeler, Ellerbe, Misi....

If we could get a lead in a game and not always play from behind, that would force the other team to pass more to catch up and DJ would get more reps, I guess.

Also, I didn't realize we were so talent-laden that we could move up to No. 3 in the draft and pick a situational player....

It is not playbook related. All he has to know is "go get the qb" not a very tough scheme.
Maybe occasionally stunt inside that's it

He's on defense. Unless he is a backer or DB...not a lot to learn here. Set the edge...kill QB. Pretty simple...

maybe he came to practice with his shoes untied, smh

Or threw a gum wrapper on the ground...
