Why would K.C. trade away one of the few decent players they have for a few draft picks. Obviously if you trade him away you have to replace him. So what have you gained.
One reason I can see why K.C. would do this is...they need the ammo to move up...and still be able to replace the DE they will lose, later in the draft.

K.C. would have the 5th...17th...35th and 47th picks.

I'm sure the Dolphins would love to have the 5th, 35th and 47th picks...for their 1st overall.

That would be AWESOME!!!

but I'm sure its not gonna happen.

Jared Allen, a swap in the first round and a 2nd would be ideal, though not to K.C.'s best interest I think. Then we can deal Jt for Chad Johnson, or whatever and see where the sunset takes us.

Brilliant if we could pull it off!

I'd be ecstatic if the Dolphins could pull that off. This would be a real coup if Parcells & Co. If they could land the 5 pick and either of the others, but both would be phenomenal.

We'd be lucky to get 5 and 35 for #1 overall

I would take the 5th overall and the 35th overall. KC could get Matt Ryan and a decent OT still in the 3rd round.

Possibly 5 and 47 but not 35. We may even need to trade 32 for 47. This just isnt the year to trade.

I still like trading JT to MIN for Bryant McKinnie. Shift Carey to RT and draft C Long or Dorsey.
None of that happens if they get Allen.

How about JT to Tampa or Jax?

Not sure which picks KC would be willing to offer up, but it does give them ammo and that makes them a team to watch. The other side of the coin, while their interest in J. Long and Ryan is understandable, their defense is still bad and they are losing Allen to boot. One should not discount the possibility that a potential move-up by KC is for a defensive player, and that they'd come back in round two for a QB.

And then our 2nd second rounder for Peyton Manning and then we can turn off our xbox/madden.

Like....give me a break dude.
