Think about it.......

If you are Peyton Manning, who is a perfectionist, and you knew a couple months ago that you had virtually no chance of going back to the Colts, wouldn't you start making plans to go to the team you wanted. Granted, Peyton Manning didn't know whether he would be able to overcome some of his neck and shoulder injuries, but deep down he had to know his neck was getting better and he would likely be able to play again.

I think it is highly likely that Peyton's agent and Ross's lawyers probably met secretly somewhere during the past couple months and worked out a deal. When Peyton stopped the mini-van yesterday and was asked whether he was going to play for Miami, Peyton said, "I don't know which teams are interested in me, or how this process works.....I just know Reggie Wayne lives here and I am working out with him." WINK, WINK....sorry but that just seems like a little white lie to me.

If Peyton was flying all around meeting with the Cardinals, Jets, Texans, etc., I would buy his story but there doesn't seem to be any urgency on his part or the Dolphins to meet up. Why is that? You would think with free agency starting next week that Peyton would be meeting with other GM's, UNLESS he already knows where he is going.....TO MIAMI.

Thoughts???

He was released from the Colts just over 24 hours ago. No chance.

And the black helicopters are waiting to kidnap you.:lol2:

Glad you 'think' and 'seems' for us. Manning is going to stick to his 1 week timetable for this courting period. He will get what he thinks he's worth and sign. All suitors have yet to be identified and some have yet to make their intentions known. Why would he short change himself, by working on this fantasy thinking?

no deal in place yet,but im sure people have been talking.im betting manning has some idea where he will be thats for sure.

Naw, would have been tampering if a deal was put in place at any time before yesterday. He was still a member of the Colts meaning no team could have had the chance to put a deal in place.

You don't think Ross would tamper with a QB who will help sell out his stadium? I'd risk losing a first rounder if it guaranteed me Peyton Manning. The revenue from jersey sales, getting numerous prime time football games, etc., would make it worth it.

I don't think there was a deal in place. However, Manning certainly told his management group to get the ducks in a row regarding terms and possible teams.

Peyton is too classy to allow even his agent to talk to anyone ahead of being released.

This doesn't surprise me a bit after reading your original post. Little to no thought made it in that post, and you followed it up with the same in your 2nd post.

Manning gains NOTHING by not shopping his services. 12 teams have made initial contact in regards to their interest in him. 12...that we know of. What about the odd 2-5 who are sitting on the sidelines waiting to make their play? Manning loses out by being narrow minded and not weighing all his options. Tunnel Vision is never good. But go ahead and push these fantasy scenario's.

And risking a 1st rounder for a 36 yr old is silly to be nice about it. Especially for a guy who will consider ALL his options.

It's only tampering if you get caught. I'm sure his folkst have been talking to people for some time now.

I'll agree that no deal was in place. However, back door negotiations could have been going on for some time.

Ponder this... Mrs Peyton and Peyton's agent go to S Florida to handle real estate, business, & other legal matters while Peyton is rehabbing.

Whose to say that another attorney based in S Florida (also representing the Related Companies ) is present to "consult & advise".
