I think Marino's jock could have been better than Fiedler today. :roflmao:

Not the way Dan played in Dallas in his last year on Thanksgiving or in JAX in his last game.

But he also had a shoulder injury. With that shoulder injury, Id say he was at least on par with JF at that time.

You got that right !!! Marino would have been alright to come back even the next year I think, he just needed time to heal from coming back to soon with the injury. If Dan had continued to play, he would still today have been better than Fiedler !

Speaking of that, Marino coming back too soon in 1999 that is, I believe JJ's ego killed us that season. I think JJ knew he could beat Dallas, led by Ryan Leaf at the time, with Damon Huard at QB but knew his only chance to blow them out, which he really wanted to do, was with Marino. He brought Dan back way too quickly and should have played Huard and gone for the 3 point win.

When Dan Marino thought he could play, he played. I don't think Jimmy's ego had anything to do with it. I think it was more of Dan's ego if anything.

But I still would rather have #13 on the field. Even if we did lose we knew we were capable of putting up huge offensive days on anyone. Remember when the Dolphins used to be fun to watch? I'd still pay money to watch that old fool throw the rock around.

Gets me a little teary eyed (cough, cough)

I miss those days. Dan's good no matter how old he is. Sorta like what Packer fans feel about Favre. Let's just trade Jay for a good player or two and sign Marino. I'd rather see Marino throw an interception than Jay. With Marino, u know it's up for grabs and anything goes; with Jay, you expect it to get picked off.
