I was reading this Blog on NFL . com ( http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/05/29/broncos-marshall-leaves-team-to-rehab-in-florida/ ) and it got me thinking.

Marshall is in the final year of his rookie contract and is only scheduled to make 2.2 mil this year. He wants a new contract but the Broncos wont give him one at the moment because of his off the field problems and his recent injury bug.

He is only 25, and a true #1 WR. He is a Florida guy and went to college at UCF and is currently back home in Florida to rehab his hip Injury.

I would much rather have Marshall then Boldin. But i dont know what we could trade to obtain him. At worst, The Broncos would use the franchise Tag on him next offseason and then try to sign him or trade him.

Brandon Marshall along with Joey Porter will be sick!. I wonder if they still are a little bitter at each other after that game last season with all the trashtalk through the media?!

No thanks then I rather go for Boldin.

If they don't want to resign him, why would we want to trade for him.

Get over it people. The WRs on our roster will be the guys playing day one. I do not see the FO giving up picks for anyone.

Will these threads ever end?

I personally think we will go to war with who we have. However I do think Parcells and co are willing to upgrade the position with a trade that will get rid of Ginn. I personally don't think Ginn is a Parcells type of player. I'm sure it isn't a priority to get rid of Ginn but if the situ arises that could send Ginn down the road and get real value in return then I think Ginn and fam would be gone.
I think Aquan is the type of player the FO is looking for. A physical, run blocking, game changing WR with something to prove (he still wants to prove he is a number one who can put up Fitz type numbers). Marshall is a great WR but Aquan has the intangibles this FO is looking for.

Now understand I am not saying Ginn is on the trading block, nor am I saying Aquan will play here. What I am saying is it will take a special situ for this FO to make a move. They are very willing to go with what they have. Although I say if the price comes down a little for Aquan (like Ginn and a #3 pick) then I can see it happening.

Ginn has a lot of potential to be a real star in this league. Just not a Parcells type of star. From the cards point of view, if they come to the decision it is better to move Aquan rather than put up with him being uphappy and unable to pay him, then Ginn makes sense. Ginn is gonna need a Larry Fitz on the other side to become a game changer. Imagine trying to cover Ginn one on one with no saftey over the top. The 10 yd come back is there all day no matter who the corner is. That will open up the run game because you have to play two deep every play. The cards could become interested if they decide they need to move Aquan. Again it is a long shot, but it is possible. IMO

I didn't hear about any incidents between Porter and Marshall at the Pro Bowl so I don't think there is any lingering bitterness between the two.

Marshall has been arrested four times since 2006 so I'm no sure if I would give him the big salary he will be looking for. Marshall was also suspended three games last year for his seven police related incidents involving his ex-girlfriend.

Frankly, I had not seen or heard anything about the Pro Bowl game because I was on vacation that time, unfortunately. But thanks for the information. It was now more thought sarcastically but anyway.

I can not see why it would benefit us to have him on the team anyway for that matter. We hold on what we have here and now, and I think that would be just successful too.:D

This is REAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYnot likely to happen. He may get suspended AGAIN for off the field issues included fights and abuse with his girlfriend. Stay away from him.

pretty sure the dolphins drafted a couple players this year... why would they trade for 1 more, i know everyone wants 5 wide sets.. but pat white isnt going to play in the spread im sorry

R u kidding? Marshall, who cries about everything, talks smack about other players when his team loses, whines line a baby in the locker room and gets arrested all the time over Boldin? NO!!!

Marshall is garbage!

He's far from garbage, however he is a headache off the field and can't seem to stop running afoul from the law.

That being said, I can't help but think regardless of his legal issues that the Broncos are going to re-sign him. For all his legal issues, the guy is a pure talent and still has (barring he doesn't wind up getting arrested and suspended from the league for a year or two) 8-10 years left in him.
