Yes, Drew Brees is a torch arm QB...but how would he handle working with an offensive scheme that features the Wildcat formation?

I'm feeling pretty sure he'd cop an attitude (like practically all ex-NFL QBs, especially Simms) and completely freak out and become either less accurate and/or less of a leader.

Perhaps, and I hate saying this, just perhaps Saban (and company) did us a favor in '06.

My mom always says, "Everything always works together for the good."

If we can stop Brees this weekend and bust the Stains, then I will have to again agree with her.

Yeah, I still think it will sting us for a long time though. I think this game will either be a blowout by the saints or we'll keep it close and hopefully win it. All I know is the D better step up or it could be a NE vs Tenn type of game.

i don't think brees would be as good with the dolphins as he is with the saints because sean payton is doing a great job calling plays..he wasn't as good with the chargers but now he's a top 3 qb in the nfl..i think payton has a lot to do with how great brees is..

I'm interested as to where we would be if we had Brees. Yeah we probably wouldn't run the Wild Cat, but you never know. If we drafted him, we probably wouldn't have Ronnie Brown. If we signed him in 2006, we probably wouldn't have the trifecta. It's funny to think about the possibilities.

This makes no sense. We would not be using the WC if we had him. Remember, it was introduced last year to shake things up because we had no "O" in the first place.

1 star.

You wouldn't be running the wildcat if you had Brees.

I personally think that Saban wouldnt have left if we had Brees and we were suceeding the way he is ...and if we did...he would have FLOURISHED with Cam at the helm-say what you want about him but Cam's issue was we didnt have anybody at QB

so i agree if Brees was on this team...we wouldnt be worrying about the wildcat

But would he have the same success w/ the wepaons Miami has had compared to what he had in SD and now w/ NO? I don't know.

Sorry guys, but I agree....If Brees were your QB, you not be running the Wildcat.

The Wildcat is today's gimmick in the NFL and you won't see any team deep in the playoffs that run it with so much frequency. I think it has a place for a couple of plays a game, but that's it. To win big in the NFL, you need a great QB. And Bree's is exactly that.

(thanks for passing on Bree's.....we owe you for that)

Their biggest test is going to be trying to navigate this site without their PC blowing!!
Spam, Malware, spyware and anything else the Finheaven people want to throw at you. Even ifyou mistakenly touch one of the ads it automatically rederects you to whatever BS product someone is trying to sell. Guy's It's never been this bad before, you gotta do something or you are going to lose a lot of people. We put up with the wait when your site crashed, but I don't know of any fan that is going to put up with this for very long. I'm sure not going to

I agree with this. We stumbled into the wildcat because we had just had two consecutive garbage offensive games.

I like the WC and I love the mismatches it creates. But it would be great if Henne turned into a good enough QB that we didn't need it. Brees, Manning, Brady....they create mismatches by being under center. That should be the goal of the QB. But until then, "if you don't like it, stop it".

No but Brees by himself is not why the Saints are winning....they have a lot of very good receivers, Jeremy Shockey at TE, and a pretty good defense. The Saints aren't 6-0 just because of Drew Brees. We're running the Wildcat because it it the best formation for the players we have.

For the 100th time, we didn't pass on Brees...he accepted a much higher $$$ deal offer from New Orleans that we did not have the ability to pay. We didn't have the cap space. You guys cannot seem to get that straight....we did not pass on him...he chose New Orleans mainly because they had the money to spend. Call the Wildcat whatever you want.....the Phins are controlling the time of possession and until other teams can consistently shut it down, the Phins are going to continue to run it. You said, "To win big in the NFL you need a great QB"....was Doug Williams a great QB for his Superbowl winning team? How about Trent Dilfer of the SB winning Ravens? I just shot up your argument.
