Just a thought here, I work in a law firm but am not a lawyer so I really am not sure about this, but we do handle alot of information about clients, such as their address, some medical info, personal account information, etc. We are SUPER sensitive about this now even having to do a ton of shredding of documents so there is no chance of this information getting out of the firm. With the new HEPA(?) laws about privacy, and IMHO Ricky's drug testing is a medical procedure, didnt the NFL violate these privacy laws when this infomation got out?

Now consider that one of the reasons the NO FUN LEAGUE may deny his appeal is because they dont want to look bad now that his failure of a drug test was leaked. If denied should Ricky go get Al Davis's attorney an look into a multi million dollar lawsuit against the NFL and the Denver Broncos for this violation or is this not possible?

if he fails, then sues and gets millions he'll pay the fins back and retire again :-(

Well maybe Ricky's agent could discuss this possiblity on ESPN or FOX, see if this might give the NFL some pause. I am sure Leigh gains nothing if he reitres again but is to his advantage also that Ricky play next year

It's simple.

If in fact the privacy policy was broken then Ricky can sue the NFL. It's that simple.

The only problem is deciding to sue the NFL or the Broncos organization. You need to be able to prove which side actually did the leak.

no privacy policy was broken because when they told Tagliaboo about the leak his fingers were in his ears. and he has witnesses. case closed.

First off i think they need to find out if in fact he was guilty of failing another test. By means of taking something that would give a positive test. Whether it was on a list or not.

And if guilty I am sure it will not make much of a difference because he had been a offender before. but if he comes out totaly clean he might have a case.

At least thats my feeling.

There's a rumor Saban had Shanahan order one of his henchmen to leak it (which i just started).

I doubt he'd have much of a case. The suspension was going to have to be made public at some point, and trading a guy we knew was about to be suspended would be really bad on the part of our organization. It's not like the results were going to stay confidential forever and Ricky would just magically not be on the field next year.

for what? faling his forth drug test what's he going to say he failed again get over it. our rb ronnie. i love ricky but when is this bs ever going to just stop.

and you have to remember, i heard something say about how if he loses this may turn into a big racial thing and it could get ugly, so they might just let him off for that reason.

It's HIPAA FYI, Hepa is a filter for your vacum, but thankyou, you made me smile :D

Wasn't this the Kennedy Kassebaum Act? I use to be a healthcare administrator and I am also shocked his private medical records could be released. Wasn't there a Hepa Virus?

I would think he could sue both, since one lead to the other. Therefore they are both liable. I hope he sues the hell out of both, even if it means he won't play another game.

NO because he realistically failed the test...and the appeal is to get this rulling taken back...

i agree he can sue denver or whichever sports writer in denver is responsible for leaking the information....but he cant sue the NFL....they are already probably lawyered up with a defense already running just in case
