As soon as the schedule was announced, I loved this TNF game, because it would mean that both teams would have 3 days to prepare(if they dont take any days off). And with Carolina's conventional offense, and our wildcat offense,it seemed like we had a HUGE advantage there, as they would have no time to prepare for the Wildcat AND the rest of the gameplan.

But with Ronnie's injury, and him most likely being out this week, as the Miami Herald is reporting, the Kitty Kats will probably not worry too much about the Wildcat.

So Pat White coming in, and doing something we havent seen yet, could catch them way off guard. Or even running someone else with the Wildcat. This is a non-conference opponent, so who knows if they would be willing to let the dice roll right now, but truth is.....if we lose this game, we are most likely talking about the draft for the rest of the season.

Dont know if they used him at all today since I wasnt able to watch or listen to even one second of the game.

So anyone else see it happening?

It means one of two things in my opinion:

Either Pat White gets more time in the Wildcat package.

Or Chad Henne will have to go out there and beat a football team on his own.

Obviously, both are going to see increased roles if Ronnie can't play. Personally, I want to see Henne be forced to go out there and win a football game on the road because this Wildcat stuff won't last forever.

Bro something you gotta learn...No one here likes Pat White.. no need to post anything Pat White related here...unless you want hate thrown all over your thread.

I've liked the Pat White pick since day 1. I don't want him to start over Henne, but I love him a situational guy. He's a playmaker. Miami needs more of those.

how do you manage to maintain green bars as a white fan? its ridiculous how bad they want this guy to fail. Why is it? why do people hate what they dont understand?

Doesn't matter if a bunch of goober fans don't like Pat White. The coaches like him and the coaches are going to utilize him to get the most out of the second round pick. Good thing the coaches don't give up as quickly as some of our fans around here do. We'd definitely be in a lot of trouble. Ricky wouldn't be around. Jake Long would have been traded last year. Someone would have dealt Ronnie for Braylon a few weeks back. Some guy named Pigpen would be our starting QB.

And dare I say it...Joey Porter would have played today.

Yikes.

I don't hate Pat White. He is not built to function as the QB in this offense. This is a power offense that when White is inserted becomes a conglomeration of power/spread. (A real cluster****). He can make plays when he runs and I wouldn't mind him moving to the slot and see if he can make plays from there.

You appear to be confusing that since most people on finheaven don't agree with you that we should bench Henne in favor of starting White it is an indication that Pat White is not liked.

What I find on finheaven is players are supported when they play well. Right now, Henne has played well and he is being supported. There is a need to improve WRs, not change QBs. Most fans on finheaven are intelligent enough to know that your idea of benching Henne in favor of White at this point is simply a BAD ONE!

Also, the injury could mean that if we play well without him, he cant demand that much for a new contract, but if we stink it up without him, then we're gonna have to give the guy his money

i think the panthers better be prepared for a heavy dose of pat white, the wildcat and the pistol ... because that's what's going to strike them thursday

i don't think we'll change the whole philosophy of this offence and make henne throw 40 times with the targets he has ... we'll keep using that dominant oline to try and run it down the panthers' throat by any means necessary (and right now, pat white comes to mind as the best answer, JMO, aside from you know, giving the rock to ricky...)

Wow @ you thinking im in favor of benching Henne for White..I havent said such things. I guess youd assume so because I think the guy has talent. I think alot of guys got talent, that doesnt mean I think they should be starting at qb. I think people have a problem seeing white split the qb roll with henne as if he doesnt deserve it. Thats debatable, but the coach is trying to mix things up and it hasnt hurt us I would say. If anything it gives defenses something extra to prepare for. Its a luxury
