Everybody is saying that we have serious issues at the O line. First cuts are coming August 30th. Are there O linemen that will be cut from other teams that could come to the Dolphins and make an immediate impact? If we have the bottom of the barrel then there should be somebody that we can bring in, and improve our status.

If there is nothing for us in the first round of cuts, how about the second???

At this point I'd just like to see some guys out there who have a "search and destroy" type attitude. We need a couple more Matt Roths on the O line.

It's not the talent level of the guys we have, it's their ability to work as a unit. Bringing in new guys will only extented the time need to develop chemistry for the unit. Besides, trading out our junk for others means you still have junk...you just don't know as much about it.

Ding ding ding!!!

We have a winner!!

Exactly right, great post.

this is the same mentality that has gotten us into the trouble were in. Our line just needs more time to become better. IMO we must build the line through the draft. Im sick of other teams rejects.

Patience is definitely not a vertue on this board. We have a great OLine coach, but it will take time. We are expecting way too much right now. Our coaches are still looking for the right combo and then they can work on playing together. We're still a long way's away from being a good line. Remember it's not just for this year, it's for the next five years.

 I bet we'll have a pretty nice O Line sooner than later with these guys. Just takes a little "gelling" and the mental errors need to go!

Two things... A - as mentioned above, we need time to gel before we throw out all the current players.

B- if you are going to get players that were other teams cuts, I'd think we should wait until the last round of cuts. Anyone cut now, is no where near making a roster. We would rather guys that are real good, but maybe not as good as some others.

I heard alot about "gelling" last year and the only "gelling" they did was buying those Dr. Scholes insirts. No amount of coaching will make this unit excel because they don't have the talent to excel. I'm just hoping for serviceable by the season opener at most.
