I am not ready to give up on some of our players and i am thinking that its not really fair to blame randy mcmichael for our woes i think it is our offensive cordinator calling dumb plays wich may be setting up our key players for failure. last year we passed the ball so much better and i know we have to credit Gus f. but our te's and wrs were catching the ball better then they are this year and i think joey and mularkey are 50 % of our problems.
if ricky comes back and daunte is healthy and plays well then our focus should be oline, secondary and wrs .the defensive line has 3 new players in roth , wright , and vickerson so why not keep 1 of our vets and bring in 1 dt in the draft cause we dont know about manny wright and if he comes back this could free up a spot for a wr or qb.
i dont believe that it all should be randy and chris 's fault because i think mularkey 's play calling isnt giving them a chance to succeed. i know they dropped a lot of passes but i think if they come back they will have better years .

First this should probably move to the draft forum.

IMO:
Manny Wright will never wear a Dolphins uniform again. McMike might not be a Dolphin next year. Mularkey may not return. Finally, you never know if Ricky will be available for an entire season or not so he's not chickens right now he's eggs. OL, WR, CB, TE and DT if we can get it all in wouldn't be bad.

Just a caveat: IF Troy Smith is available when the Phins pick in round one I would find it hard to pass him up. There I've said it.

WOW some one finally makes some sense out there. The Offense I agree with you with healthy guys plus Ricky on paper they should look good. We see what is aviable in the draft/FA and pick up a quality LT cause we need one, maybe draft a QB in the later rounds to be a project. Other that "O" is set to go.
The "D" up front doesn't need to much work, Kevin Carter is a beast but hes chewing up money. IMO we release him start Roth and keep the others where they are at. The LB's are pretty set with Zach and Channing, how ever I say we use our high picks on a LB that will play next season at the other OLB and hopefully replace the great 54 down the road. The secondary has two solid safties in Hill and Bell, I think it be best to also check the FA for some CB's. J. Allen could blossom next season but thats our weakness.
If anyone thinks we can go in and clean house its not that easy, you can't just get any player... they need to want to come and for the right price... plus you want chemistry... keep a young OL together and they will be pretty good soon.

troy smith is a top 5

no 1 likes ricky or wants him and we sure wont let him start over ronnie ronnie love it in miami and we all want him to stay for his career + ricklys old and will retire from now-2 years

I also love Smith, think he would be an awesome pick but alot of people on here will disagree.

Mularkey needs to be fired. Stability at coordinator is good, but this guy is just garbage. Bills fans started laughing at us the moment we got him and they still are. Mularkey cant hold Linehans jock, or anyone elses it seems. I dont really care who replaces the guy, but hes gotta go. Hes had a handful of decent called games, and the rest have just been abysmal. I think your average fan could call better plays than him. Why didnt we just bring back Norv Turner if we wanted a crap OC.

Any OC that continues to call pass plays to guys who can't catch should be fired !!!!!!!! If you were the OC of this team what plays would you call?

Mularkey sucks plain and simple.

i deffinantly want ricky back and would love to see him over ronnie.

yeah but in the game at fourth and one what the hell is he thinking not calling a qb sneak, hes closest to the line and can lurk for a yard

both of those drives in the 1st quarter would have been saved

IMHO the OL is the biggest problem we have.

I am totally with you... our entire season would be different if the o-line was just "servicable" the first six games... minus rushing yards one game, 0.0 passer rating another, we shouild pull a page from Mangini's plan and reinvest in our o-line.
