DOLPHINS poaching us... AGAIN?!
Take it for what it's worth...
Just got word from an old high school buddy of mine who works with the Dolphins that they might be poaching our practice squad again...

He told me that some of the higher ups are trying to create room for Dombrowski.

While I know it would be better off for Dombrowski, I wish he could just ride everything out with the Chargers...

I don't know but could be possible?!?!?!:err:

what exactly did we lose by cutting Hagan? it has become quite obvious that he isn't in the plans anymore. might as well try out someone else. Hagan was just occupying a roster spot.

it's a shame to see another draft pick go down the tube. oh well, good luck to Hagan. i liked the guy, he just couldn't get it going here.

Any chance we go after Hall after the Raiders cut him?

He's what we call a "cancer" in the locker room and he's not an upgrade over Goodman or Jason Allen for that matter.

i dont agree , he may have been bad at times this year but he has been clearly better than either of these guys over his career. Allen hasnt even started a game yet and people proclaim him better than another player.
goodman has been abused alot this season. Just because Al Davis is an idiot does not make our secondary great. This is the same secondary that has been abused at times this season, they did play great versus Denver though.

just because Al Davis is an idiot doesn't mean DeAngelo Hall is great, either. Hall is getting picked on left and right. i don't know how that would help us out in any way.

I think it's more due to the fact that when Bill threw him his walking papers, he dropped them too.

well obviously he has shown he has talent in this league. Goodman has been picked on quite a bit and had a good game this past week. He has been a 2 time pro bowl selection so obviously around the league players respect him as a corner. The raiders are a mess and if a team does not get a pass rush even the best will get exposed.

Not to mention him and Joey Porter could get together and fight thier dogs over each other's house.

they're cutting him because he's terrible, not because he's a cancer.

Every team that's played the raiders so far this season has gone right at him all game. It's why Asomugha has no INTs this season. There hasn't been one pass thrown his way.

(ok, im sure a few have been thrown his way, but not many)

i beg to differ, hall was a lockdown corner only last year, if we had hall and will allen, we'd immediatly get better skill wise...
chemistry wise it would hurt, as goodman hasn't been a badman like he was early in the season, and jason allen has been impressive, not standout, but he's impressing me since i thought he was just an athelete that couldn't play any position in the defense...

just cuz our secondary played well twice this season (bills, broncos, im not counting the chargers, cuz that was thanks to the pass rush) doesn't mean we've sured up the position. our running game has only been good twice this season too, and that could use some upgrading... although i attribute the lack of run success to the C and RG positions...)

hall would be an upgrade at the skill positopn but a downgrade in the lockerroom

Asomugha is playing under the same conditions as Hall, however, he just does his job and shuts down his half of the field. if Hall was all that, the Raiders pass defense would be among the best in the league.

here's a nice stat line, since everyone loves to point out to Hall's stats.
the Raiders are ranked 31st in the league against other teams' #2 WRs. that would be on Hall. you have to scroll down a bit. Asomugha is 10th, which isn't great, but still pretty good.

strangely enough, now that Hall is out of Atlanta and Houston is their #1 CB, the Falcons are 5th in the league against #1 WRs.

I am not judging Hall by this season, Im sure if you look at his past seasons Hall has proven himself a good corner. he has been a playmaker which is something we have lacked in the secondary. Now we are hearing silly stuff like Goodman and Allen are better corners. Why because they are fins. Hall is a two time probowler for a reason.
