Could we end up with nothing?

Plus 7 million carried over from last year we are at 117 million against the cap with 9 million carried over . Any dispute with those numbers

You're right with their carry over they have 10 million in cap room where Miami has 14 million. Miami didn't tag anyone, but Arizona did Calais Campbell which will demand 10.6 million from this years cap. This means they will have to do way more then we will to make room for Peyton Manning. They only have until thursday until Kevin Kolb demands another 7 million. The least they can do on Kevins cap hit this year is 2 million if they release him and defer the remaining 6 million to next years cap. Either way they are in trouble.

Neither us or Arizona are really in good shape capwise to go after Manning but Im sure both teams will be creative.

What the hell are you talking about? We have 14 plus 6.2 more if they let go or restructure Yeremiah Bell...
We are in a much better situation then Arizona!

Im comparing both teams to Denver, KC and seattle.
If Arizona cuts Levi Brown as expected they save 17 million. Cutting Kolb and Brown saves them over 20 million.
Hell if they wanted they can renounce tag on Campbell I doubt he has signed anything yet.

My point was everyone on this board is whining saying Arizona is front runner to sign Peyton and I don't believe they are in a great position to sign him. They will have to get crazy creative to make it work and that doesn't leave them ANY room to fill blatant holes on both sides of the ball! I didn't say anything about any other team.

Did you forget that Calais Campbell is their best defensive player and one of the best defensive ends in the league. The Cardinals originization has said he is their number one offseason priority. Do you really think they will let him walk by renouncing the tag? Good one!

Hell looking at Arizona's salaries they have quite a few options to create salary space

Kerry Rhodes 4.5 million
Adrian Wilson 9.5 million including roster bonus
Joey Porter 5.75 million
Kevin Kolb 10 million cap hit . I have read that they could push the 8 million cap hit for cutting him until next year thus giving them help this year.
The kolb savings most confuses me but they have players they can release that will help them just as much.

I never said they would and I dount they would I said they could. Most likely the savings from cutting kolb would replace that money since they can carryover the 8 million cap hit for releasing Kolb until next year so just that would pay for Campbell.

If the Dolphins end up with no one I wouldn't be surprised.

I haven't read all this yet, but if the Dolphins miss out on Manning, what can Cleveland offer Flynn that Miami can't? Seriously. There are no playmakers on that offense, they don't have his former OC, they have a state income tax, and he would have to go to effing Cleveland. Cleveland!

I just don't see them having an edge here if Miami ends up going after Flynn. If for some reason he does go to Cleveland, I would much rather have Weeden than Tannehill.

It's very possible they will not land a qb which is bad simply because that was their #1 target this offseason. I dont understand how anyone can so casually say we'll stick with Moore and draft a second tier qb. Staying with Moore is one thing, but aren't you tried of drafting guy like Beck and Henne? Thats what second tier is. And nick foles has been compared to the type of qb Henne is. Ummm, no thanks.

Miami should have just sucked for Luck, now look at the position they are in.Just like the thread indicates what if they end up with NOTHING which it looks like that may happen. It looks very doubtful that Manning has any intrest in this team. ....imo if all these media people are correct about Manning as far as what they are sayin like mmm.... he doesnt want to play in the same div. as Brady or the weather is to hot or to cold or the team doesnt have a dome or he does'nt want to play in the same conf. as his brother Eli or the same div as his brother. WHAAAA the guy really sounds like more trouble then he is worth and thats not even including the 4 neck surgeries and him being 36 yrs old.Now we all know they arent getting Luck or RG3 and it looks like they wont get Manning so whats left? draft a qb or go get Flynn. Why is Philbin not wanting Flynn or is Ross screwing everything up waiting on Manning to the point to where the team is left with nothing but Moore and a rook.I dont know about all of you but this FO and its owner look pretty clueless and incompedent time after time. Now i am glad they got Philbin instead of Fisher, other than that they look like clowns. It sure is funny how alot of other teams can atleast find a qb and this team never does....damn the Colts are set for another 15 yrs already..Carolina has Newton...Greenbay went from Farve to Rodgers....NE has Brady....and on and on. This team is cursed at finding a q.b. i guess we will see soon but it does'nt look promissing.

A/Manning, B/Flynn, I think most agree is the right way to go. How is the FO being stupid by doing what most feel is the right thing?

On one argument we are stating that the FO settle for 2nd tier QB's but then on the other hand many are shouting that we may be left with nothing, by shooting for the no.1 target.

Philbin knows Flynn. Sherman know Tannehill. If they are shooting for Manning, for once I trust the FO and coaches to at least make the right choice in deciding who they go for, even if they miss out.
