Our last 3 games without JH as qb?

How many other qbs could the Dolphins have had at the helm and still be on a 3 game win streak?

Most think if we didn't have Joey starting or playing we wouldn't be winning.

CKparrot proved in no uncertain terms that the offense has been far more turnover prone since JH came in yet we are still winning.

If turning the ball over loses games, how are we winning now, turning the ball over more often than we were before? Couldn't be that it has nothing to do with JH or the offense could it?

Because the D is getting turnovers, and stopping the other team when we turn it over.

I have nothing against JOEY... He is doing a decent job at the position... However, we could have definitely progressed further this year if we would have kept GUS as our backup...

I only say this because he developed a chemistry with the receivers late in the season last year... He is more accurate with his play than JOEY was starting out... JOEY is getting better but I think had it been GUS that we kept, we would be a few more games ahead than we are right now...

our offense is also walking handicapped with joey tho.
I think when determining the reason for our mini streak...Joey is a very small factor and the way the rest of the team played the past few weeks, we could have won with Sage Rosenfels, let alone Gus.

I agree with you 100%. I know there are many posters who could never admit this and it kills them to think it but it is true.

Its not picking any other QB. Joey's the best QB on our roster this year. He's playing better than about 12 other starting QBs in the league. Could he better. Sure but we dont win three in a row if we have Daunte playing like he did the first four weeks and we dont win if we have Andrew Walter or Matt Leinart or even Eli the last three weeks. He is playing at around 20th best QB in the league level and that's good enough for our team to win with considering the fact that we have the number two defense in the league. We are playing Baltimore Raven football here right now

Yep. JH has played fair, but it's the Defense that has won these games. There are a lot of QB's that could have done as well as JH.

I don't necessarily agree. If we had Culpepper in there we may not be doing any better because Culpepper was taking alot of sacks and punishment.
I think having an aging guy like Gus F might produce the same results. Because he is pretty slow. What I see out of Joey so far is him getting rid of the ball quicker. Yes he is making mistakes but we gave five years of mistakes to a guy like Fiedler. So I can cut Joey some slack for his growing pains.

I'd say we would've won those games with about 25 other starting QBs in the NFL.

Ha ha. That's probably true, but one of those 25 isn't CP.

No question, our defense won those games. Joey somehow managed not to lose them, though it was a close call. I also have no doubt that CPep would be pretty much more of the same. We have backups starting for us and the offense is playing like it. Not horrible but not very good either.

I will agree with your comments on the "D" but JOEY is currently ranked 30th in the league as far as a QB rating... 2 rookies are under him... Again, as I said earlier, I am here am will support the SOB in every game! But the bottom line is that he has been shedding old ways and learned the new... He is beginning to identify what it is a GOOD QB does since he has been in the game with us... I think this kid has a lot of potential and he is due for a breakout game soon...

But the question, the post, was asked if we could have won with something different... I think we could have...

Yet another thread on this? :rolleyes2

What's wrong with the debate that is still going on in your original thread with the exact same subject?
Unreal!
