Could we hire Mike Shula to HC position and sign J. Schwartz to be DC please ?

Hello,

I am a french dolfan since the Marino days, but today I'am disapointed.

I dislike firing a good guy and I think Joe is a good guy but he's not a HC.

I mean, watch olds steelers game with the passion of cowher, or watch old dolphins game with the Shula organized team.

Sorry but I don't see nothing like that in this staff.

So, If Ross could hire cowher I realy would become happy but I don't think Bill Cowher want to be coach again ...............but perhaps we could contact Mike Shula to be promoted HC ( I don't know if it's legal to do that in the NFL season or if we must wait the offseason), but this guy is a good OC for the panthers and young .........so with an experienced DC ( Jim Schwartz) would be my choice.

If this plan isn't possible I would go with Mike Shanahan.

And to end this topic, sorry to tell that but Sparano was better than what we have now.
 
those kind of moves won't happen until the offseason . . . . most we'll get is Coyle and Joe fired, and a promotion like Lazor or Rizzi from within.

So the solution is to hire one of the few coaches worse than Philbin.

Actually, that sounds about right for this team.
 
Screw it fire the whole staff and bring in Mike Shanahan as place holder for the rest of the year. Then we can hire his son in offseason

Why do you want to hire Mike Shula as head coach? I hope it's not just because he's Don's son. His other son David was head coach for the Bengals and that was a disaster. I've been a Dolphins fan since '84 myself, but I don't think Mike Shula is the solution unless you can convince me otherwise. I want change as bad as everyone else. I think most Dolphin fans could be as successful as an interim coach as Philbin has been.
 
Id almost prefer them to hire Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, and Dan Marino....
 
I always wanted Zach Thomas to be our LB coach at the beginning and to be our DC after because he like study game.

But at this point, why not him for DC.

and sorry but I think Mike shula do a good job at caroline IMO.
 
Mike Schula is under contract to Panthers

Mike Shanahan is available as is Jim Schwartz.
 
You're not going to be able to hire people from outside to be interim. That makes no sense. The play books can't change overnight or even over 2 weeks. All you can hope to change are the playcalling, player utilization, and in-game decisions. If the team is simply full of people that would simply say "what would Joe do?" then you don't really have any interim options.
