I feel that we have some potentinal cuts on this team right now that can be traded for picks instead of just being cut.

1) Derrius Thompson - Somewhere in the 5th to 6th round range........

2) Lamar Gordon - 4th 5th or 6th, depending on how stupid or smart the team is.......

3) Eddie Moore - 6th or 7th tops.......

4) Dario Romero - 5th or 6th, his stats look good........

5) Travis Minor - 7th tops........

If our FO thinks they're scrubs and plans on cutting them, their trade value is reduced. The other teams have a decent idea of which players are on the bubble. If they don't trade for a guy and he isn't cut, they can just get someone cut from another team. I guess the exception would be a team that runs into some injuries or contract disputes like the Eagles. But they aren't usually the ones giving up picks.

no. every year someone thinks we can trade "scrubs", problem is, everyone has scrubs.............that will be cut sometime real soon. yeah, we will give you a fourth rounder for your scrubs and screw the 30 other teams scrubs. sounds logical to me.

Derrius and Lamar are both trade possibilities for conditional picks. Derrius maybe a round higher than Lamar. I don't think Dario Romero would be worth more than a conditional 7th, if that. We're keeping Eddie Moore and Travis Minor. Heath Evans will be the only "true FB" once Ricky comes back from his suspension, as we can also use Sammy Morris and Ronnie Brown as situational FBs.

I do not understand why so many Dolphin fans (on this board) undervalue Travis Minor. He has been a very solid 3rd down back for us for several years, averaging over 4 ypc.
As for trading for the caliber of player that you are referring to as scrubs; IMO a trade is pretty unlikely at this time. Right now teams are looking at their own "scrubs" to decide who to keep and who to cut. Within the next few weeks alot of players are going to be cut from every team to comply with roster mandates. Why trade a draft pick for a marginal player that you can bring in after he's cut? While it's true that injuries might force a team into making a poor trade (see our RB situation last year) I haven't heard of any team being too desperate at this early stage.

1) Derrius Thompson - Don't believe anyone else holds him in such high regard

2) Lamar Gordon - Won't be cut... IMHO
3) Eddie Moore - See 1) above
4) Dario Romero - Wasn't he undrafted? He might stick........

5) Travis Minor - He's pretty mutli-dimentional to be cut....

LOL I'm slow to post; too much going on at once. When I started mine no one had responded. Great minds think alike, however.
