Hey Guys its been a while since i started a thread but i am a everyday visitor to the site and enjoy reading many of your comments and concerns on the team. However, in times like today there is often way to much overexaggeration and "the sky is falling" remarks. We are suppossed to be Miami Dolphins Fans. As a fan there is really only ONE THING YOU CAN ASK FOR from your team, what is it you ask? All we can beg for is that our team plays lights out and balls to the wall every single game all game.
I for one am very upset about the loss we suffered yesterday. . . but i am more proud of my team than almost any other phins team ive had the honor of watching. This team from start to finish has done things the right way. Win or lose. We started the season 0-3 and were written off by many analysts and experts, but no we showed RESILENCE! Time and time again, "RESILENCE". We blew the game against the colts, let the chargers off the hook in the 4th. These two games would kill the mentality of almost any team. But not the dolphins. We get beat in close one against the media crowned pats and then upset by the bills. But between all of these demoralzing defeats we found ways to buy into wat our coach was preaching. We strung together some wins. Beat a carolina team that was one of the leagues hottest coming in. Beat the pats in what was an anti climatic battle that could of been for first place ahd it not been for a loss the week earlier, Instead of giving up the phins Buckeled down and WON. We took each and every loss the right way and just got back to work the next week.
From the start of the season to now we have grown as a team and as a franchise. Many may not believe so but we have. Tony Sparano and Company have created a winning atmosphere in south florida. Just 2 short years ago we were the leagues laughing stock and the Patriots chew toy in the divison with no light at the end in sight to compete for divison crown. But here we are at the end of year 2 and have already won one division title and are still alive for another with 2 games left in the season.
But the single most proud ive been of a phins team may have been yesterday. We feel down to a 24-6 trail in the second half. This team looked finished, but then they showed that quality that will most definatly define there season no matter the finish and that quality is resilance. I was sitting there watching this team and I got to see a COMPLETE TEAM EFFORT ON EVERY PLAY. These guys did not want to lose and willed their way back into the game. FIGhTING for every catch, Every tackle, every block. League wide no names such as Lex Hillard, Losaka Polite, and Brian HArtline stepped there games up and refused to die. In the end it took everything in the world including the refs to keep Miami from winning this game.
There is a lot of talk about Chad Henne not playing well and the loss falling on his arm? I tell you this is incorrect. He had to be aggressive, overaggressive. Yes he made mistakes but hes basically a rookie. The most telling point is after the game Dan Marino gave henne a compliment to the effect of basically sayin that its not his fault and hes the one that got us back into the game. He went on to say that " Miami has a real quarterback in Henne" And for the first time in a long time i agree.
One last point id like to make but first i just WANT to re iterate the fact that all we ask for if your a true fan is a chance each and every week and for a team that gives there all. WE have that in these dolphins and i hope we all understand how special they already are and how special they can become. To that note i will guarantee that MIAMI will WIN out and get in. Thats my belief I actually believe this team can play with any team in the league and the NFL better hope that Baltimore and Denver take care of buisness cause if they slip and allow us into the playoffs....watch out. cause theres no one that wants to play us in the playoffs, no one. YOu know wat too, I wouldnt put anything(including the ultimate prize outta reach
) if we reach the playoffs, not with this team. They have to much never say die mentality...too much resilence!!
GO PHINS!!!!!! And THANK YOU FOR An AMAZING SEASON and continuing to fight week in and week out so I STILL HAVE A TEAM THATS RELEVANT IN WEEK 15.....NOW LETS FINISH AND GET IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!! :3p::bdh::cdf::df81:
