Figured it would be good to start a thread where we post something daily until we are finally at opening day. I'll go first.

"69"...... One of my favorite numbers.....
Maybe my optimism is getting away from me, but I'm having visions of "greatest show on turf" type offensive outputs. Granted, we don't exactly have a Marshall Faulk in our RB room, but collectively they have a pretty diverse skillset. After all, Kurt Warner seems to think pretty highly of what we have assembled here.
Our receiving corps could literally keep DCs up at night if McD is who I think he is.
Actually, we have the 5th worst cap number for next year. At the moment we are like negative 24mil for our top 51. Of course we have no idea what the final cap # will be, but relative to the rest of the league we aren't in all that good of a position. If we don't have that type, or close to that type of offense yet, if Tua proves to be the QB we think and hope he can be, along with as you said, McD being the HC we think he is, next off season we have a good amount of early picks to get the finishing touch of players, along with again, one of the higher salary caps.

Yeah, it's hard to say exactly where we are at until next years official cap number is established. It is definitely going up, maybe substantially. I believe we also still have 15+ million we can roll over if we end up not using it.Wow!!! I thought I read here we were still one of the top teams.
Oh well, I guess wait and see what the final tally will be after the season.

Excellent point on Wilkins. It would mean a big signing bonus to be spread over the length of the deal, but Wilkins is one guy I am not worried about doing that with.Saw that yesterday and wasn't thrilled. We can't really spend much more this season.
The good news is that we don't have any bad contracts. The bad news is that we don't have any bad contracts we can dump.
Christian Wilkins is slotted to make 10.7M next year on his 5th year option, you can probably halve that number with an extension.
Hunter Long needs to step up because Mike Gesicki is going to the Giants next off season

AFA MG, I guess it depends how you look at it, and how he fits with the offense. Optimum would be Long filling that role, but lets be honest. MG is a top 3-5 receiving TE. How likely is it that Long is that caliber? If I had to guess, I would say MG moves on after this season though. To the Giants? That's too specific to comment.
