Cowboys game blacked out, more blackouts coming

I live in Maryland, So I am protected against the Black Outs.

Question: If I live in Ohio, is it possible for fins games to be affected on Sunday Ticket? Also, what about the preseason game on the NFL.com streaming program?

Blackouts affect only the primary market and all secondary market...

You are fine if you don't in the 2 markets and the game is blacked out.

does anyone honestly really care that the 4th preseason game is blacked out anyways?

dont get me wrong, i love the dolphins and i consider myself as big of a fan as their is, but ill be honest, this weeks game will prob be as boring as can be. its a game where 95 % of the players who will suit up prob wont be seen on the football field during the regular season. it means squat, and i wouldn't spend a dime on it either if i lived in south florida.

Did you not read the article? Houston Denver Buffalo Washington games in the regular season will be blacked out if they dont sell

Im guessing that my usual purchasing on stubhub doesnt help the cause either lol

Let's look why the games will be blacked out:

1.) Miami is a tough city to live in. Most people can't afford to go to games. We're in a tough economy.

2.) There's much more to do in Miami than a city like Cleveland where there is nothing really to do besides go to a game.

3.) The Dolphins went 1-7 at home last year. The fans booed Sparano out the stadium. Most fans think the regime are *** clowns (I gave them one more chance). The O-line still sucks after 4 years and it doesn't give much hope.

4.) It seems like people are waiting to see what happens in week 1 against the Pats. If the Fins lose badly, I except the stadium to be empty all season.

5.) The team hasn't won a playoff game since 2001. The team has only had one winning season since 2005 including a 1-15 season in 2007. Don't forget back-to-back 7-9 seasons.

6.) The Heat are going to compete for quite a while. They will be the team of Miami if the Fins continue to lose.

7.) The Lockout made it hard for marketing.

8.) The Dolphins didn't really get any big names in FA this offseason besides Reggie Bush but people believe he's injury prone and not a franchise back.

those games wont be blacked out, when was the last time a regular season dolphin game was blacked out? its been a while. by then the game will be sold out, whether the team buys the rest of the tickets, or fans buy it up as it should be.

the houston game i see no reason as to why it should be blacked out due to the fact its only week 2 so we can deff not be out of it by then, and especially if we beat the pats before, but even if we dont.

the broncos and skins r not exactly appealing teams, but if the dolphins are playing well fans will come. we will have a good idea by those games. either way, as i said, when was the last time a regular season game was blacked out? heck, was a game even blacked out in 07?

October 1998 and no. Every game was shown in 2007.

hate when people say that.

although maybe its true, there are freaking 8 home games a year, 1 day a week, taking a total of 3 hours. Now some people as u said may not have the money which is totally understandable, or maybe like the view from tv better, which can also be understandable, but the excuse of better things to do does not cut it, especially in football where their r limited games.

the lockout appeal could be a reason as u said, but i doubt it is because although i dont speak for the nfl nation, i would assume the majority of fans r over it and have moved on and r pumped for the season.

And if that is ur argument for a possible reason, then i guess that the heat will have a tough time drawing due to the nba lockout.

The last game blacked out was in 98 but since then there hasnt been any real publications indicating the possibility of it

That's a good point on the time thing. You got me there. For the winning reason just look at Finheaven. Fans are not over it. Most fans want to see Sparano fired and start over. Miami fans are fickle and will not come to games if they are losing.

I actually care because I paid 20 dollars to watch all four games. I probably will be able to watch it live since I live in Ohio, but I'm still not certain on the preseason game. I genuinely love watching football, even if it doesn't mean anything.
