Cowboys save $5.5 million by releasing C Andre Gurod

LMAO clowns complain Sparano is playing musical chairs with the Oline and two weeks before the season starts you want to switch 4 position on the Oline and the fifth player, Long, has not gotten his marbles rocked yet due to rehab. LMAO. Thank You Lord the message board " Experts ' do not run football teams. Pouncey is going no where and if anyone is signed, they are going to RG or RT, end of story people.

i don't believe he has to clear waivers when its a preseason cut...if he's on the 53 i believe he does...i think that he's free to the highest bidder right now

While I agree that is a great, very great Oline. They had better start practice 24/7 right now. Pounceys head will be spinning wildly if we did this. IMO, far too much for a rookie to handle. Already had microscopic pre season practice.
 
Only players that have to clear waivers are ones that have less then 4 years of acrued service. As of being released he is free to go where he chooses.
 
why the hell would you put pouncey at right guard??? thats assinine...a guy who lacks pop somewhat at right guard...left guard or center...preferably left guard if gurode came here

This has to be the "no brainer" move of the year. Can't we just sign him off of waivers, or does he have enough time to where he is automatically a FA?

I may take him at that 5.5 million for the next 2 years. Or is that unreasonable? Does another team pick him up a that number?

Yea, Pouncey at RG is just a waste IMO . . . put him at LG ad he is a more athletic Justin Smiley . . . and we know how great Smiley was for this OLine.

Considering 2 of our 3 preseason games have been 2 of the worst offensive line performances I have ever seen, yes, changes need to be made.
 
might be a bidding war on gurode...but we need to be in on it...unless he's in terrible shape

That would be my lineup too. I'd try Carey back at RT before I do anything though.

On a serious note, If Gurode wants anywhere close to 5.5 mil, then we're not signing him. We've got 1 mil tied up in Columbo and can't afford to sign the dude unless we cut some salary somewhere else or trade Merling or Starks.

Gurode doesn't have to clear waivers. He is a 10 year veteran to automatically become a free agent.
 
gurodes been pretty damn good for the cowboys for years...if sparano doesn't like him but likes colombo and mcq i will bite thru my lip
