Not sure how much validity if at all this story has, but maybe this is why we are still waiting to hear about what ends up with him....again, I strongly doubt this but hey ya never know..
either way even if we let him go I doubt anyone in the right mind would take the position knowing Philbin is very likely gone next year (unless we win the SB)

I see this as a double-edged sword. On the one hand, I hope the Bears do take Coyle; on the other hand, if they don't, this will only reinforce Philbin and company's decision to keep Coyle on as DC because another team was interested in him.

I know he is staying and makes me have such little hope for next season. My wife and I are saving up…ready to come down…and I have nothing to hang my hat on outside of the really nice hotel we are looking at.

We can only pray and hope that some team is dumb enough to take him off our hands. Of course, Philbin will probably go into a deep depression if he leaves but oh well.
