He is one of the main top reasons this defense is lagging to its potential. HE should be gone! clueless bastard! You have one of the best lines in football and capable CB's and you still get punked. Play out team at its strengths!

COYLE < Pile of Seagull crap

It ****ing kills me when he plays so much off coverage! Like come the **** on. You have Finnegan. let him shove and take out the timing from routes. Plus you do that against a really good and accurate dink and donk QB , Alex Smith, he will shred you!

Dropping Wake back in coverage on a rb did it for me. That was absurd.

and OV went into coverage on Kelce on his TD I believe.

Here are some of Coyle's schemes discussed.

Coyle did a poor job but he's not the one missing tackles.

i do agree having Wake and OV in coverage is a dumb idea

There are certainly adjustments that need to be made, etc but funny how quickly we forget that our entire LB core has been replaced due to injuries. Jenkins has played well but it's a fact that still deserves some attention.

He's one of the biggest reasons I wanted to completely clean house after last season.

Personally, Coyle would be toward the bottom of my list of guys to replace. People are getting a bit revisionist about him and maybe forget how stingy we've been in allowing points until recently.

What's missing in the D are aggressiveness in tackling and in coverage. Part of that is scheme driven, where Coyle has to take some rap. But I also think we took Finnegan and Delmas to be the fiery motivational guys who the D rallies around. When the head coach drops the guy who's supposed to be the lightening rod for the D, don't be surprised if things go a bit flat.

Maybe having the DEs cover TEs wasn't great, but it was partly injury led and nobody was calling Coyle a bum when his 5-2 alignment destroyed NE.

i think the dc is highly average...but he also is playing with a horrible lb core...still trusnick in the sub package is a TRAGEDY
