I was not aware of this but Kevin Coyle worked with Dick Lebeau from 2000-2002 in Cincinnati, so hopefully he picked Lebeau's brain a little bit, but also this means that Coyle has experience with the 3-4 because from what Coyle has been saying I think we will be sticking to a 3-4 base defense but will be versatile and run a hybrid with the 4-3.
 
As long as it not 4 and 5 and we decided to isolate Jones on Welker and oh yeah he decides to play 10 yards off. UNBELIEVABLE!

If we had a better safety, that should not be an issue. Jones and Smith give up too much space then come up to make the tackle.

That's a great point...when you know the safety has got your back you can be more aggressive. When players know Ed Reed is behind them, they can play tight and aggressive on the short passes.

A possible good thing about Coyle is that his defensive play calling tendencies, and disguised coverages are not well known, if at all. Hopefully it will be a plus early on.
The other teams in our division will have to figure it out as the season progresses.
