Cramps-Gate

Still looking for the story that explains why both of our starting cornerbacks started cramping in the second half. Up to that point, the game was tied 14 - 14!

Not taking anything away from the brilliant and totally legitimate game plan drawn up by Belichik/Brady - the hurry up offense - which completely sapped our defense,(how are we not prepared to make substitutions against this offense) but why of all the positions on defense that could get cramps, it's our number one and number two CB's. We were in the game until Vontae left and Nolan Carroll replaced him. You could see how Brady jumped on the advantage by throwing at Carroll and then attacking Sean Smith when he could see that Sean was limping badly.

I know the hurry-up is difficult to prepare for, but is it possible that Bilicheat put something in the gatorade that Smith and Davis were given in the first half? Something that causes cramping? No one else cramped? Our two starting CBs though? Strange.
On the bright side here's this:

Compare Henne's performance to fraud Sanchez. Henne has become a leader. Sanchez is an over-rated QB on a team that wins despite his play. He will be out of the league in 4 years I predict.

A travesty that this team should cramp up in their own house. The temp/humidity should be a home field advantage instead
of a liability to the home team.
As far as Sanchez is concerned, He won his game, won 4 playoff games on the road and has a winning record since entering the league. Get back to us when Henne does likewise.

I am not trying to argue this one here. But when did Sparano not protect Henne? As far as I knew he always had praise for Henne and stood by him

he didnt take any pressure off him in the media. he didnt stand behind the guy. when early reports started coming out last year about how this coaching staff didnt believe henne was the answer. (this is prior to last season) why was that happening? and who was leaking the info? parcells leaked some of it. why? they keep so much bottled up....why was this leaked? then it was clear sparano was waivering about benching the guy. henne was not getting the sense the coaching staff was behind him and believed in him i guarantee you. in the meantime, in ny over the same two year span sanchez is allowed to make mistake after mistake and play through it. at the end of the day his resume looked pretty similar to hennes, yet the media loved him. he was protected by his coach. cause his coach had the unique ability to do that, while instilling confidence in the player, and shielding him from doubt and criticism. henee never had that luxury. sparano was never a good enough coach to pull something like that off, and he didnt have the foresight to manage something like this anyways. rex did.

Smith getting torched on that play was the most frustrating part of the game for me. He came up lame the play before. Brady saw it, Smith knew he couldn't run, other fins saw him, coaches saw him and they did nothing. Tell him to get down, take the injury timeout. I mean, whoever the next guy in line is to play corner should have been smacking a coach in the shoulder saying, "he's hurt coach", I got this, give me a shot". Instead, Smith tries to run with a BJGreen. Painful in all respects.

Total failure. Coaches obviously pay the wrong guys to hydrate the players. Too many of the players have not brought themselves in great shape.

The only good news is that this game was not at 1pm like Tony wanted.
