Have you all lost your minds? How long have you been watching this team? A year? Two?

This stuff is getting out of hand... we lost a game today that we shouldn't have and it is a definite downer... but all this talk of cut this person and fire that person is out of hand... Let's appraise this with a little rationality.

1. Fire Sparano- I think we have some of the best coaching we have had in years right now... look at how coached up these guys actually are... we have rookie cornerbacks starting in a defense that has sorely lacked DB playmakers for years... we have rookie and nobody receivers holding there own as starters... we are on our back up running back and a back up center... we are competitive after losing our starting quarterback for the year... Does the playcalling need work? hell yeah... but playcalling and coaching are a tad bit different... fire the OC not the coach...

2. Cut Henne?... madness... he has shown the most promise out of a dreary run of signal callers... he doesn't seem too "intellectual" which concerns me some, but he has shown accuracy and a live arm... give him a break... How about we let him get to double digit games before you start lobbying for a new man behind center... oh yeah, perhaps we should see how he fares with a starting #1 wr as well...

3. Fire Parcells- He engineered a quality roster with high character guys that appear to want to win... I hope he is here for years unless his molding ability dries up and blows away in the Florida heat...

I see people lobbying for Groh? Weiss? CRENNEL? Really.... crazy... catch your breath... as much as you all hate to hear it... who thought we were Superbowl bound this year? I love the Dolphins... I've watched them for over 20 years... but I knew we had some growing to do... We were 1-15 in 2007... just look at where we've gone since then... and realize that, like I am sure you were all saying in the spring, we need one more draft... thanks for letting me have a minute...

Great post Nate. I've been anti-Henning since last year though. I dont' see how Weiss makes us a worse team.

Crazy people don't have time to read a novel, they need to vent.

Nate breaks down his posts into how he thinks, which is in bite sized nuggets. It's not a novel. It's just a well prepared post that is not so intimidating that it can't be addressed.

Had nothing to do with the post, I just know if I was crazy I'd be ranting, not reading.

Henning reminds me a bit too much of Mularkey... he will have a good run and then foul it with an unbelievably dumb playcall..Remember MM calling a double reverse HB pass on 4th and 2 from the 2 for the win? Unbelievable and too much like today's RW pass... 1st and 3 to go... how stupid was that? Inappropriate timing to get fancy...

+1111111111111111111111, but I am lobbying for Crennel, I think he woudl be a great addition. Also Henning, as someone said reminds me of Mularkey as well, just bad decision making, however I would promote david lee...
I agree with the rest though.

Also having seend this team the past two seasons they should not be surprised with performances like this, sad but true. This is an average/above average team which imo will become a good team.

The fins have a Qb that can actually play, yet to be seen if he is "the one"lol, but he is on the right track. Young Db's who have been playing good especially when you consider how rookie Db's usually struggle their first years.
Some good players on Defense, others than need to be replaced. A good oline etc.

This team has more pieces than not, I think they are a few pieces from becoming a good team. Everyone just needs to calm down.

It took drew brees 4 years to break out, I think henne will get there sooner, but give him more than 8 starts and also a #1 receiver, lol...

Nothing but overreactions on this board, ridiculous...

I guess a long history of reading my rambling stream prepares you for it, right GB?

(oh... and the "...".. they are signature thought pauses.. Go Dolphins.)

Well... we'll agree where we agree... I can't say that I saw anything exciting from Crennel when he was with the Browns... maybe I missed something due to the moribund reality that is the Cleveland franchise... Ol' Mr.Potato Head seemed to leave a lot to be desired...

Good post Nate, unfortunately, I live outside Buffalo, and whoever we have lost to injury really isn't an excuse against this team, they even have had it worse than us.

Agree with most of your post, but unlike you, I could care less about Henne's intelligence, a certain great QB in our history did not exactly light up the sky with his iq, but I do worry about Sporano, and his ability to completely understand on the field strategy in many instances.

I know that was not his call on first and goal today, but he sure as hell had the ability to veto it.

His complete unwillingness to give Lex Hillaird real carries spelling Ricky so we do not use him up so early in a game. Ricky had almost 20 carries @ halftime, when Sporano pledged to not give him more than 25.

Why is he so worried about giving him carries, he looks very impressive to me, imo way too much razzle dazzle today, when our bread and butter were working.

Imo Perry Fewell was hoping to run into some low hanging fruit at some time soon to get his first win, I believe Sporano gave him his wish. Terrible gametime strategist, i'm sorry.

Off rant.

I watch my football with people who coach and have played at the college level. They rip into our coaching staff and point out things to me I would never notice, but once they point them out,
I'm like HOLY ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTH are we doing.

I want our OC and our DC fired, the sooner the better. I'll give Tony one more year, but he does some stuff that they point out are basic gameday mistakes.

By the way we have virtually no halftime adjustments. And we are #1 in negative points ratio in the fourth quarter.

I also think Tony has no say in the OC and DC and they are buddies with the man that could fire them, Parcells.

Been a fan since '71, so I have seen it all. I see that you left out the clear request to BENCH GINN as one of your points...

He is a paper dollie that needs to go play somewhere else. He is not worth the wasted #9 pick, and is being outplayed by Hartline and Bess, as well as Camarillo and Fasano.

The experiment is over.

He is a liability not an asset and needs to go.

I agree that I have no opposition to a steadier hand at OC... I think, and perhaps this is from a naive eye, that our defense needs players more than anything... I see huge deficiencies at LB in the area of pass coverage... Huge deficiencies in guarding the middle of the field period...
