Crazy idea to fix the Running Back situation......

You're absolutely right WV.... but that shouldn't even be relevant... Who cares if he was Gale Sayers reincarnate??

Character concerns shouldn't be aside. In this circumstance, skills shouldn't be the focus in any fashion.

Meh. If he were a good player I would take him.

Are you saying we should deactivate Starks?

lol actually i agree with you 100%, but was just being comical with my response! Ya know, cuz the world is ****ed up!

I getcha 100% my friend and I'm usually the 1st to turn to humor....

but I've seen first hand, what domestic abuse in the house hold looks like, and now that I've got a little daughter of my own, the premise of this whole thread (and some responses) angers me to no end.

I don't get paid to run a NFL team so I won't offer what i'd do in that scenario, it's probably apparent my stance on this subject. That's up for each team and/or the court of law to decide how to discipline their players.

I prefer not to side with "The Ole Ball Coach" whenever possible... but....

That should be rule #1 in my book.
I guess I just have a different outlook on abusing women than some others?

I loved the skill set of Brandon Marshall and what he's capable of on the field, but I agreed with shipping his ass outta town.

Some things are inexcusable and that's just my opinion on the matter. Everyone's free to form their own.

This is about as good an idea as this...

Take away the fact that he is a woman beater...... (that fact alone should remove him from any conversation)

But look at what he did last year statistically and watch the tape... he's not the same player he used to be.

With that said... I don't care if he would play like Barry Sanders and Jim Brown combined.....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO he beats women, and that has no place in our or any organization.

Truthfully, you should be ashamed for even mentioning this.

If he could do that, I'd buy him a masochistic hooker every week.

Ditto. My sister had a bastard of a husband. Anywho my daughter is 11 and now and so it's changed my views on the world and the people we share it with! And knowing how dudes are, Im terrified she's gonna get herself with some guy that's less than a gentleman. Hopefully my example shows her how a real man treats his woman, and hopefully she knows she doesnt have to take **** from anyone!

I'm not saying this in a bad way, but this is something the old Oakland Raiders regularly did in the 70s. Back then you didn't hear about the failures, just the success stories. What did Al Davis (I'm definitely not a fan of his) "just win baby" & "Pride & Excellence" or something like that.

I have no idea what the contract looks like but... We should offer Miller for Trent Richardson. The colts can't get any production out of him and a change of scenery could do well for him

wont really fix anything since he is suspended but realistically i would sign him because he will never come cheaper after this incident. I dont care about any players personal life, if he can play ball let him play.

Obviously this organization that we love so much went through a rough time in the locker room last year with the stupid bullying issue. I know that the Dolphins are trying to stay squeeky clean right now to avoid any extra "bad publicity" and to keep the focus on football and moving forward to try win the AFC East or earn a Wild Card spot in the playoffs.

As we all know, with Knowshon Moreno out, our running game is putrid to say the least. Damien Williams was slight breath of fresh air, but let's be honest.....that may not pan out. As crazy as this may sound, it could be a shot at a "STEAL"! The best "steal" since we were able to get Cameron Wake from Canada.

Ray Rice!

He's appealing his suspension from the league. While I don't support his actions and believe that he was wrong for what he did, he was right in how he handled it afterwards. He didn't hide anything from the league or the Ravens. He's also apologized and taken his lumps like a man. Now, I'm not so sure what will happen but if he's eligble to play this year, he's technically a free-agent right now since the Ravens terminated his contract. Ray Rice would be a vast improvement to our running back position and would probably come at a reasonable price.

This is all speculation and dependent on what happens with the league but you have to admit, this would help our offense and run game tremendously.

I'd give Ray Rice a chance. He'd definitely fix the RB situation.

And those people judging him, smh. I'm going w. Janay on this one -- if people really cared about HER and not making a political point, they'd help Ray work and rehabilitate.

Instead, it's all about their preconceived political agenda.

Violence against women, really? Is that what it is? Then why do 99 percent of the people hating on Ray Rice also support Islam? Where not just slapping, but honor killing and raping for "point proving" is in vogue.

Please. It's all politics.

Free Ray Rice. Listen to Janay.

Does anyone bother to notice that in the elevator video Rice's wife was in the process of attacking him? To me it looked like an instinctive reaction on his part- not that punching her like that was justified, but at the same time I don't think that Rice being metaphorically taken out behind the barn and shot was justified either. He lost his job, his career is in serious question, his reputation is shot and his wife is actually pissed as all hell because of that. I've heard it said that she's furious at the media only because she's traumatized by the violence, and I have to shake my head at that- she's pissed because a moment of violence, part of which shows her as the aggressor, was captured on film and the resulting publicity is ruining her life along with her husband's, financially and otherwise.

We really do live in a take-down culture, and most are perfectly happy to pile on. Adrian Peterson hit his kid with a stick- not that I'm a big fan of that, but that has been a common punishment for oh, about the last few thousand years. You can call it a stick or twitch if you live in the country, whatever. I saw the photos- his kid was hit with the twitch behind the knee and he had a scratch- a scratch, not a gaping wound that needed stitches or anything like that- a freaking scratch. And now Peterson is been dismissed from the team, put on the exempt list. Because his kid has a scratch on the back of his leg from a fairly common punishment that existed before this ditzy age that we find ourselves in. And that is in fact the world that we live in- do something wrong, have it caught on camera and it will spread like a virus through twitter and the internet, and you, too, can be taken out behind the barn and shot. It really was a lot better in the 70's and 80's than this crapfest that we're living in now, and that's a shame. Post 9/11 life and uber political correctness are for the birds compared to the way things used to be.
