Any thoughts? Comments? "Valandui, you are completely insane"s?

I was thinking it would be one of those situations where the guy is so naturally talented that he wouldn't be a good teacher. However, with the boards being kind of slow, I thought I would throw it out for discussion.

Whats he going to teach them...how to smoke crack!!! It would make more sense to hire Zack Thomas.

Well, one good thing did come from your post. I got to see the picture below it.

I don't mind the idea but the way he played we practically can't do anymore. That's like trying to get Dick Butkus to be a LB coach it just doesn't work.

I would love zt to be lb's coach he has the heart, smarts, and tenacity to do it. Lets bring this D back to life like we had in the mid late 90's, when we wre the baddest meanest and most hard hitting group in the NFL. a la brien cox days I remember watching one of my very first games when cox laid a dud out from the bills and then spit on him I loved that defense.

I guess it depends on if he is a good teacher, and that coupled with whether or not he is working off of god given talent (which you can not teach) or if he just works on his fundamentals constantly (something that can be taught). Zach Thomas is instinctual and could never be a coach IMO. Coaches coach and the vast majority of players normally just play....Pennington is the exception not the rule.

I herd he tried to help out Vernon Golston, besides he had the type of talent that was never taught to him. The guy never even lift weights, he would just do his thing.

LT wasn't a genius, he was a gifted freak that motored on steriods. He's more of a child now then a possible mentor or coach. I really like your pic though, who is she?

Zach was as much of a student of the game as Penny is. Zach spent many hours in the film room breaking down offensive sets. I agree he had a knack for where the ball would be , but a good 50% of that was game prep in the film room.........:earlyriser:
